Remarks

The college has got a lot of good vibes. The hostel food isn't awesome but decent.Accomodation also happens to be a tolerable offence. However transportation facilities are miserable over here. The institute location makes it accessibility poor.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am in 1st year. Joined in 2019. The year is divided into two semesters. The classes are hectic in either of the semesters. Maths and physics are common for each sem. The first sem has maths1 and physics1 and 2nd sem has physics 2 and maths 2. Half of the students go for basic electronics, environmental and safety engineering, English, biology in the first sem and rest of them go for basic electrical, mechanics and chemistry. And yes people from every stream have the same curriculum for the 1st year. Both the sems have their own hardships and depends on the students how they cope up with them. After the 1st sem subjects are interchanged.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are good. Computer science has the best placement records with highest packages of 45 lakhs being offered by Microsoft. Other branches have decent placement records. Ece and electrical branch placements follow the cse placements in the hierarchy of the placement records.

College Events

3.5

There are three major fests. ' Innovision' is techno management fest. 'cosmopolitian c the in house cultural fest. 'Nirtutsav' is the inter college cultural fest. Alongside various clubs and branches have their own fests or gatherings.'Vriddhi' the annual sports fest witnesses the participation of nearby colleges in various sports events. There are 2-3 inter NIT sports events conducted every year. The hostels have their respective 'hall days ' and garden feast is a common event for every hall of residence.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. Tution fee waivers are offered for sc,at,pwd and economically weaker sections students. For Btech, integrated msc and integrated mtech students the first semester fees are 124000 and 99000 for rest of the semesters.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college doesn't avail any loan facility. However students can avail loan facility from a number of banks. Scholarships are provided by a number of government and private enterprises. The institute provides it's support to every student in acquiring these loan or scholarship facilities.

Campus Life

5

The boys to girls ratio is 1:8. There are lot of cultural clubs which care about the extra curricular activities of students. The clubs are directed by the students activity centre SAC. Clubs are self funded or funded by SAC.

Alumni/Alumna

There's an alumni association named nitraa. However no idea about its functioning. The seniors are quite helpful. Reaching out to them is quite easy and one of the best possible thing that should be done when one's facing any problem

Admission

Firstly one need to appear in JEE mains entrance exam.it's not necessary for someone to qualify the exam. After the entrance exams are over the seat distribution is done by josaa. One needs to fill the application for josaa which isn't a difficult task at all. However it is the job of a student to select the colleges of his choice from the list provided in the descending precedence of the branch and college of their choice. Based on the availability of one's ranks the seat availability for his her choice of branch is done. The applicant is notified after allocation of a seat. The applicant is expected to report at the nearest reporting centre of josaa and wait for the subsequent rounds at the end of all rounds the final choice is locked and students are expected to register at the college where a seat is offered to them. There is special following the josaa counselling conducted by csab in the same manner as josaa which is responsible for the leftover seat distribution of NITs and other prescribed colleges.

Faculty

4

Faculty members are good. There are extremely likeable teachers who have a deep involvement in their subject and make the subject quite interesting. However there are faculty members who aren't quite supportive and stick to their job. On an overall note faculty team is good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs
