college Review

My opinion about the college is not very positive neither very negative, teaching is very good, they take good care of your academics while the hostel authority is not very much concerned about your problems. Some rules like ordering food online is not allowed, will annoy you.

Course curriculum is quite similar to most of the colleges in India. We do have three exams in each semester: unit test, mid-sem exam and end-sem exam, these exams hold 10 marks, 20 marks and 70 marks respectively for each subject.

Job placement opportunity is very good for CSE and IT department, since most of the companies are software company. Except CSE and IT, other branches don't have placement opportunities upto mark. Companies like Wipro, IBM etc. visit college every year for placement. Internship are not provided by college, students have to find one on their own.

Hackathon is conducted every year in which students get opportunity to implement their programming knowledge to solve real world problems. Celegance is our annual cultural program in which branch topper are rewarded and also a student of the year is awarded.

1,19,000 each year for college fee and 67,000 each year for hostel fee. Hostel is optional. If you wish to stay in hostel, you have to share your room with two others including you. Food in the mesh is not so good, but can be eaten happily if you ever have stayed in hostel.

college provide up to 100% scholarship on tuition fees to the students doing exceptionally well in their academics. Loan is not provided by the college but you can get loan by the bank easily on the recommendation of the college.

Extra curricular activities such as sports, lab, are conducted at regular interval at department level. Students do have their teams for participation in any hackathon program, or dance, band, etc but students are not indulge in any politics activities. No one is discriminated on the name of gender, race, religion, ethnicity, everyone respect everyone.

As I am from Nepal, I stay in international hostel and infrastructure in international hostel is very good. We are provided single room here. One can stay as PG outside the college paying average 5000 monthly.

Initially I was bullied by a senior, on reporting this to registrar I got immediate attention and was helped by the authority. And the senior was suspended for a month. Hence, ragging or bullying is very offensive and do not occur at all, except some cases.

I got the scholarship provided by study in India program(sih.gov.in), an initiative by MHRD, and admitted to this college. I hadn't any other choice over computer science and engineering, and this stream in this college is quite good. Hence, I was admitted to computer science and engineering.

Most of the faculties are PhD holder and are very good at their respective area. They take good care of every students and are always ready to help students regarding their academics problem. Overall they are quite good and very energetic at teaching.
