Positives- Very clean and aesthetic campus is a big attraction. The presence of a Technology Business Incubator is of great importance to aspiring entrepreneurs. The College houses a proper library. Negatives- Management is very strict and sometimes very intrusive of Students' personal preferences.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
As in all Engineering colleges, education is expensive. During my academic years, I had pay a tution fee of ?70000 per year + 10000 security deposit + other charges including PTA fund, sport fund etc.
Job opportunities are a plethora for Computer Science Engineering, IT & Engineering, etc. Most of the companies that come for campus placements are IT companies. Hence Mechanical, Civil, etc aren't very lucky in that matter, unless one is ready work in IT field
Mechanical Systems have always intrigued and fascinated me. I wrote the Kerala Engineering entrance examination and procured enough rank to obtain a government seat in the college. Once the results were out, I had to check if my rank was eligible for the Mechanical Engineering stream.
Some college seniors can be absolute douchebags. Apart from them, others will be very friendly and helpful. They can be of immense help when you've graduated and is looking for employment; they can set you up with their connections.
Faculties are very knowledgeable and resourceful. Some of them even have on-field experience in their respective teaching subjects. To be a teacher, one has to have a bachelor's in engineering and a master's in engineering or its equivalent.
Students of a vast variety and Districts are studying here in the college. Students of different religions, different social classes, political views, and economic status gets an education here. Currently the College only recognises two genders.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
I'd say the curriculum was mostly outdated (i.e. the MG University syllabus). Now, the college is affiliated to Kerala Technical University and I'm not very much in the know of their syllabus and exam structure.
Ajce holds the prestigious Yuva Mastermind technical fest in partnership with Manorama. Students from schools and Colleges all over Keralam pool their resources and ideas and come together and winners are select from the School sector and College sector separately.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
Students with considerably higher ranks are eligible for tuition fees in that of Government colleges. I had friends and classmates who studied with tution fee as low as ?8000/ year. Then there are the minority scholarships provided by the central Government.
