Remarks

Administration doesn't have students representation in decision making. Campus is really small for an engineering college of such repute. Stringent policy by faculty in attendance of students; they have marks on attendance. College rarely funds generously to the clubs for arranging events. Placements are good here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Yes, the course curriculum is industry specific and more emphasis is laid on practical application rather than theoretical work. However, it is not research driven and it relies on Savitribai Phule Pune University for its curriculum. The campus placements in the college are fantastic and from past couple of years, college has recorded cent percent placements from the applied students. Regular industrial visits are organised in college and there are numerous activities in college which increases student's skillset.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement are excellent in the college. There's a training season where students are specifically groomed for upcoming placements. On an average the college has a cent percent placement's rate. Institute's special Training and Placement Cell is very active and always there to help students to crack any company they are willing to be in.

College Events

3

Technical 1. Impetus and Concepts 2. Pulzion 3. Credenz Cultural 1. Addiction Sports 1. Elevate Majority of the events are held by various clubs in the college while some are funded by college. Nearly all the colleges in Pune participate in these events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

College fees are very reasonable. Just ?1 Lakh approx per year. However, stationary, exam fees and university fees are to be met by the student. College provides transparency to fee breakdown. Hostel fees are also the same as college fees and is in the campus itself.

Fees and Financial Aid

Maharashtra government offers various scholarship schemes to the backward social and economic classes of society. For any pupil of Scheduled Class, Scheduled Tribes, there is no eligibility criteria for availing scholarship. For Other Backward Classes, Socially and Economically Backward Classes and any other categories eligible for benefits, have to submit a non creamy layer certificate issued by competent authority. College provides free education to one pupil with low family income and with excellent academic history. Various Banks provide education loan in India and one can check that with respective bank.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio is not good provided it's an engineering college but not that bad as well as college only has soft branches of engineering. The campus is not that large and so is the campus life. College shows less leniency for academic performances and specially attendance. So college lacks on this ground. There are numerous clubs in college which helps students overall growth. Similar to many engineering colleges, this college of cosmopolitan as well. There are students from many religion and different places from India.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, I have opted for hostel rooms. It's a twin sharing rooms. For the first year there are many hostel rooms available but for second, third, and fourth years, the number of hostel rooms are few. But there are numerous PGs, private hostels around the campus providing much more facilities than hostel rooms. The hostel mess is boring. The hostel fees are more or less same like the college fees I.e. 100000 per year.

Alumni/Alumna

College has a stringent anti ragging policy and college promotes no ragging culture. I experienced zero ragging on the campus. Alumni network is strong enough and helps the administration to set up new labs and fund researchs and enterprises of the college students. Seniors help juniors for academic and extra curricular purposes.

Admission

I wanted to become an engineer specifically a computer engineer. However I got Information Technology branch. For taking admission into this college, one requires a very good score in MHT CET examination. A score above 160 is considered respectable for CS branch here. If calculated in percentile, above 98.80 percentile are required in average for admission. College admits pupils thourough the same centralised process by all colleges of Maharashtra. Even score in JEE Main can be considered for admission. Though the score must be high enough.

Faculty

4

Per day college has four lectures of one hour each and a practical of two hours. This is for every 6 day of the week. Hence, college employs many lecturers. Many of them are post graduates in their respective fields and some even have PhD. They have minimum 3 years of industry experience to maximum of 40 years of industry experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
