If anyone wanna enjoy their college life come to Guatam Buddha University. The hostel life is very beautiful. Ther negative part is that the campus are is quite big that you have to come with your own vehicle.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
Fee is very affordable compared to private colleges. No additional charges are there. Both online and offline mode are acceptable for mode of payments. The fee structure is feasible considering the hostel stay and mess food for students. It is around 1,60,000 for a year including the mess fee and hostel fee. It is not that much. And the poor students can even fill out a form to get a cashback on that.
PLACEMENT WING
Campus selection of core branches is negligible. If you want to have a job, you will have to do on your merit. Some students get the salary package offered around 8 LPA to 9 LPA on their merit. This college doesn't provide any company for internships you have to choose itself. However, 75% of the students get internships on their own merits.
ADMISSION
There is a particular entrance exam for Gautam Buddha University for which a form is to be filled by contacting the university itself. I scored well and received rank 29th in the exam. I opted for this course because i thought this is a complete package for a person who is business minded.
HOSTEL FACILITIES
Yes i have opted for hostel, every student gets his own single room with almirah, bench, chair and rack. Their are total 16 hostels each of which has 250 rooms. Hostel is good. There is electricity 24 hours. They provide Lan cable and the net is on 24 hours. One problem that the hostel has is the it has no air conditioner and it is very hard to live in the hostel in summers. Mess food is average and not that great. There is variety but a lack of taste.
ALUMNI
Yes seniors are very helpful as they guide you thourough out your 1st and 2nd year in every field including acedmics and other activities in college. Don't know much about alumni.
FACULTY
The faculty is not that great in the university. Some of them are really good but some are not. At times you'll feel that some teachers are just coming to pass their time in the class. But sometimes some of the teachers are so serious that they even give you homeworks like school and check them later on.
CAMPUS LIFE
Infrastructure is too good and faculty of biotechnology are highly qualified. Labs are well-equipped and maintained. Library is good classrooms are air-conditioned and maintained.Our college has four ground one of them is for cricket one of them is for football other one is hockey. We have also a swimming pool in our college. The labs are full with highly expensive equipment to gain more knowledge. Our college is awarded with best eco friendly colleges.Gender ratio will be approx 3:1.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The course was pretty good. There were plenty of subjects to learn about. The summer internships were good as well and the last semester dissertation research period is the time when you can actually focus on the research and get good grades. One might feel that the subjects are too much and often feel like they are repeating. But Overall it's good for a student to be thorough of everything he/she has learned. Exams are very hectic. They even put two exams in one day and sometimes if a student has got a back exam as well, He might have to give 3 exams in a day. College tries to finish all the exams as soon as possible so the students have to give two exams in a day with no holidays in between except sunday.
COLLEGE EVENTS
University celebrates a lot of festivals. Like there is one annual festival of college called as Abhivyanjana. Then every school of the university has got their own festival. Management school has got their own something. Engineering has got their own fest. And then there is sports day and other sports related fests too.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
Yes i applied for education loan as college gave me estimated quotation which was deposited in bank. Many economically weaker students receive UP scholarship.
