Remarks

Overall the college experience was good. The management was lenient during my period and it has become strict now. But a decent college to do engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is based on anna university regulations. It has 8 semesters and 4 year course. The first two years have 4 mathematics papers and core technical subject are covered in 3rd and 4 th year. In the final year there is a project work to be done.

Placement Experience

4

During on campus placement drive we get companies visiting us to recruit. Tata consultancy services is the major recruiter in our college. Then comes cognizant technology services and wipro. Some core companies also participate in campus placement but they recruit relatively less number of candidates. 80 % got placement during my period now more than 95% get placement now.

College Events

4.5

Technical event in the name of national symposium by individual departments electrical and electronics engineering conducts national symposium called spangles. Also cultural event in the name of talentia. And the freshers have another cultural event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible if government quota and expensive if management quota. If belong to first graduate then the fees in government quota is very less. NBA accredited courses have a higher fees and non accredited courses have lower fees. Management quota generally has to pay twice the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got scholarship from government of tamil nadu for most backward student category. The scholarship will be credited directly to our bank account. I also had a student loan from indian overseas bank. But the interest rate is nominal but documents required were more as it is a nationalized bank.

Campus Life

3.5

A jovial campus when we were students but now there are a lot of changes. Now it is very strict college. The gender equality can be seen overall but mechanical department has more male and electronics and communication engineering, computer science and information technology has more female.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Yes for the first two years i was in hostel. The rooms are spacious it accommodates 3 persons. A mess is located at the ground floor. Both south indian and north indian cuisine is available. PG and home for rental are available around the college.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the college conducts regular alumni meet so that they interact with the present students. Alumni are enrolled in a google group and they are regularly updated.

Admission

TNEA 2010 counselling thourough anna university single window counselling. Also management quota seats are available. Generally counselling is conducted during the month of June and admissions in the month of August. Ranking is prepared as per marks secured in mathematics, physics and chemistry.

Faculty

3

The assistant professor are generally pg completed. And we had good faculty for power systems and power electronics. Overall the faculty is above average. Total faculty in our department is between 12~15 most have pg degree and 3~4 doctorate degree. Age of the faculty is generally 35~40.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspect which is great future on IT Field of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course. The curriculum prepared me to solve tough real-world logical aptitude test and coding test. The course curriculum is only based on the theory in several areas. My suggestion is to improve that too in practical manner for better real-world understanding. The frequency and the timing of my exams along with my perspective on the difficulty level is 2hrs.

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
