Not a good college. Really. No sports facility, no competitions organized, no social life, no function, no youth festival, no dancing club, just study and that's also theories no practical knowledge.
Course curriculum is outdated. They don't change syllabus accordingly to the changing technology and we have to study the outdated technology. Exams structure is good. They have changed alot in Exam Structure.
Placement is not so good in our college. We have to go to GNDU main campus for placements and they prefer their own students rather than us. They don't have placements opportunity for their students and then how can we think about internship provided by our college.
Technical Fest-A 3 day fest in which students participate to show their technical skills and to participate in coding competitions and win cash prizes. This fest is not so big. Sports Event- A 3 day Event for students to show their sport skills.
Feasible - The fee structure is good and also provide fees concession for poor students. They also provide Poor Aided Fund for poor students. Fees is relatively good in comparison to other colleges.
They provide Fees Concession facility for poor students. But they only provide 10% of total students in class. They also provide Poor Aided Fund for poor students. But they give these facilities to randomly anybody and actually poor student is left behind.
Sports are bad. Labs are bad. They just teaching theories all time and that's it. No sports no labs. They teach only theories all the time. No Labs. If labs are given the they just teach small and waste most of the time.
Alumni network is not so good. They don't organize any event for alumni so they could come and interact with juniors. We don't know where they are what they are doing. Seniors are good at least for me.
They select students thourough JEE Mains Ranking and also consider 12th percentage. But focus is given mostly to JEE Mains Ranking and those who don't get admission in GNDU is given seats to regional campus as happens to me.
Faculty in my college is much educated. Most of them have PhD. But those who don't have PhD teach much better than those having PhD. Faculty is good but mostly teach only by showing PPT. Practical teaching is much less.
There are more than 500+ companies visited in the college for placement and r placement criteria are good of the college the highest package is of 44 lac per annum of the college and the seniors are very helpful for junior and there is no ragging in the college.
Students are eligible for placement at the end of the 6th semester only. Many companies visit the campus every year. As many as around 627 companies, with lots of offers. The highest package last year was 31.5 LPA, and the average package is around 3-4 LPA. Around 70-80% of students placed every year.
From 5th sem onwards students can register for placements. The students must pass the cgpa in order to sit in a drive There are so many companies that visit lpu every year. Some of the companies are google, samsung,Capgemini, cognizant, informatica etc
First of all i was influenced by the communication skills of faculty members.before my admission, they answered to my each and every question related to this college in a very impressive manner. Secondly I was influenced by the placement system of the college. A lot many companies visit this college offering students lots of employment opportunities and average package goes upto 10 lakhs. Education system is also very awesome here. College believes in building ours careers, thereby transforming our lives. This site mentioned below made me join the college.
Students become able to sit in the placements after completing 3rd year of their engineering degree. Many famous companies visit the campus like delloit, wipro, Amazon, Microsoft, google, TCS and offer each student lots of employment opportunities. Average lackage goes upto 11 lakhs. Last year the highest package achieved by a girl was 32 laks. This is all because of the hard working efforts of the teachers as well as students. They help student in their studies in a best possible way
The placement reviews were amazing of my college and my friends also referred this to me saying the college life is amazing and you'll meet amazing teachers and the fees was also affordable of my college. Also, its near to Chandigarh so social life was also amazing so i thought yes. CGC is best for me. And the experience has been amazing it were best 4 years of my life and i want to go back! Nostalgia.
I am not gonna lie, these are amazing! I joined because of placements and i got placed in 4 MNCs. If you're joining for placement, join without eyes closed. Amazon, google, mindtree, wipro, capgemini, CenturyLink, Microsoft are some companies. Maximum package was of Amazon and google. 22LPA.
In 3rd year, students can opt for placements and internships offers from campus. There are many companies visiting like Amazon, Byjus, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Infosys, Capgemini and Samsung Research institute etc. There is less percentage of people getting placements as there are many students and fewer companies. Also, LPU gives priority to send the high grader students whereas students in low grade would get less opportunity to showcase their talent. They are taking 10000 extra fees for registering for placement which should not be done.
College is good but the fees is a little too high and the state quota lowers it's quality as panjabis with low score gets better branch then others. The internet speed here is very bad and there is no night live here.
Overall our college is one of the best colleges to study engineering. The environment, faculties, labs, infrastructure is really awesome. The job opportunity is a little less, but if you Gain good knowledge then you definitely get placed in a well-reputed company.
