Remarks

The best place to study and enjoy your college days. One will have good friends and staff members.

Course Curriculum Overview

They always have update syllabus for the placements. The course structure is very good.It is always updated as for the need of the todays world. They teach you updated syllabus. And the syllabus is easy too not so difficult it's up to every students ability. You get to study from the basic to advanced. The syllabus is really good as all deemed University have good syllabus.

Placement Experience

Deloitte Infosys Wipro Accenture Tata consultancy services Cognizant Microsoft Amazon Student must not have any backlogs and have minimum of 6.5 gpa

College Events

Symposium Techblaze Coding events Onam and pongal celebration Rampus Technical workshops Milan cultural feast. Food festival Sports day event Shortfilm fest The students from various college also come and take part and Evey time there will be maximum number of participants so there will be always 3 rounds.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My program costs 75000 per annum though it is expensive it worth it as they provide you the 100 percentage placement services. In addition to this we need to pay 10k for books and 10k for placement training. This is the same for all the science and humanities department which includes bcom and bba.

Fees and Financial Aid

No the college don't offer any kind of scholarship to the students. May be the students who are unable to pay will be given.

Campus Life

3.5

Srm is the best place to learn other things aprat from the academics. There more boys than compared to girls but it is the place to explore and learn anything you want as there are various clubs and workshops and students can also take part in various events and competition that take place every week.

Hostel Facilities

Yes I am in hostel the hostel rooms and all the services like laundry and house keeping are really good but the food is little bad.The hostel is very safe students have their freedom. Only the food is quite bad

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are also very good they never rag and they will help you out and give guidance to the Juniors

Admission

As i like computer science I took this course and this institution has good infrastructure Good staff members Teaching Atmosphere Extra activities Clubs At first we need to fill up the online form in the srm website there will be various options you want and then you need to go to college for the counseling. They will provide the group as for your marks. Then we can choose between the shift we need either morning or evening shift. We are required to pay half the amount of we are admitted to the course.

Faculty

There are about 30 staffs for the computer science department. They are of 40 years old in average. The faculty are really friendly and they take care very well the student can reach to them at anytime. They alll have so much experience in teaching field they have been from various places and worked in various institution.

girls to boys ratio is 1:1 is we consider all three branches with some courses with more male while other having for female.more or less the ratio is near 1:1
the most important thing for you is there is close to zero discrimination for you , whether you want to join any club or perform anything you are equivalent to students with others bachelor degree
octagon and library are the two things which are good as library is considered the biggest library among all nit's while octagon having 800 computers for students.NSO ground is also well maintained with the beautiful mig fighter jet to take cool phot

Dislikes

for first years hostel are well maintained if compared with others but don't expect much from hostel atlast this is a government college.in first year 3 to 4 person sharing room are there which was build to carry 2 person.
Quant and entrepreneur thing is not there as you might expect by seeing the nirf 9 ranking but it is not zero .they are growing clubs like profNITT and Sigma are young and they could do better
curfew timing for girls are 9 or 9:30 pm i guess be it any year. for boys ,only freshers have curfew with timing 9:30 pm.other than that any student can't step outside the college after 10 pm without the sign out form.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as maths is the mother of all science and quite related to other fields so it opens a lot of door for me like mba ,mtech ,phd or any other things. this course is specifically designed for becoming teachers so keep that in mind before taking this course as they are not flexible in changing curriculum or adding something for the sake of students as of now. also you will be having more working days compared to other courses with 80 percent mandatory attendance.after first sem you will get 1 week holiday and after 2nd sem you will get 50.days holiday and after first year you can expect 20 days holiday for winters and 50 days holiday for summers. you will get a lot of time to study for exams. before ct 1 you can expect 2 months and then atleast a month for ct 2 and endsems. cons are that you don't have the right to choose minor or electives like btech students.you have to compulsory study all three science .i.e. maths , physics, chemistry.

HIMT COLLEGE REVIEW

Likes

The faculties are very well experienced and there are captains who stay in the campus itself, so if there’s something we need they will be available all the time
The facilitieslike labs, ship in campus, DB tank facilities etc are top notch
The classrooms are fully air conditioned. There’s smart board. Overall everything is really good and also neat and clean

Dislikes

Galley food can improve a little and canteen is comparatively small for such a big campus
They are not conducting intra- college events and inter-college events is very less

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good in HIMT. I got placed in 1st year itself in MOLMI. All faculties try their best to prepare us for the placements and it shows in the placement interview also. Usually companies come for placements from 2nd year but there are some companies who want to take girl cadets 1st year itself. MOLMI, MOLTA etc came to our college for placements. After completion of the course, company will call for induction and accordingly they will call for joining the ship. For finishing the cadet ship , we have finish 12 months of sea time. After that a lot courses has to be done for appearing in 2 nd mates exam.
