KTHM, BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (B.COM)

Reviewed on Dec 9, 2015

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Bachelor of commerce. This course is a full time course. Duration of the course is Three years this course is a graduation level course. The college session starts in July every year.total around 1000 seats are available.

Placement Experience

Since most of the students opt for higher education else CA or CS placements arenﾒt a part of the studentﾒs goal. Though there are big MNCﾒs that recruit students from the BBM and BMM background.ﾠ

College Events

2.5

An Inter-college Sports festival is held in February where KTHM generally bags the first or the second prize. An annual day festival is held in February where KTHM generally bags the first or the second prize.

Campus Life

2.5

Kthms major crowd is from nashik city but few aspirants even come from the outskirts of nashik. Atleast 60% of the students are localities while the remaining students are from different parts of India. You often meet a lot of nearby village students in this college. The crowd is a bit on the happening side but is equally balanced when it comes to academics. Most importantly, sports is given a lot of importance, hence you see a lot of chaps on the college ground.

Hostel Facilities

Provide only basic facilities a table fan,cot without mattress, water for drinking and bathing free parking and first aid students complain about food hygiene cleanliness and delay in addressing complaints. Students do not get hot water for bathing.

External Expense: More Than Rs.10000

Faculty

1.5

Well KTHM is one of the top ranking colleges in Nashik and Maharashtra. Undoubtedly the credit goes to its faculty members. The teaching is brilliant especially for Accounts where the lecture is houseful most of the times quoted by one of the students. Almost every sport aspirant in this college is amazed with their Sports teacher. The lecturers are pretty experienced and have a thorough knowledge about their subject. In spite of all this the communication is weak and you frequently hear professors teaching in Hindi at times Marathi too. Nevertheless the college has a history of producing a lot of Chartered Accountants.

College is Good

Likes

Infrastructure is just too good- Building is Fully Air Conditioned
Placement are really decent for a Commerce Graduate around 6-7 Lakhs per annum
Lots of student Associations are there to gain practical exposure.

Dislikes

Very Strict Attendance Policy of 75 Percent.
Rigid and Time Consuming Course Structure
Lot of Fests are there but they do not match the Vibe like North Indian Colleges Fests

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent around 6-7 LPA and almost 50% students get placed and the Highest package is Around 22LPA . Many MNCs visit the college such as McKinsey,Barclays, Goldman Sachs etc. • I am planning to get placed in a MNC.

My special 3 years which I spend was golden to me

Likes

Most important thing I like about my college is they are like the whole college is so creative.
There are many different batches or mat department but when it comes to fest or festivals they comes together to celebrate it
Talking about placement, the placement cell is soo good that I'll say every colleges should have this level of college cell as they invited, big companies such as Deloitte, hdfc bank,KPMG

Dislikes

The point which I dislike about my college is they should increase campus
Some of the teachers really need to behave like when they talk to students they don't know the manners
Basically the watchman is not good at all I personally feel that they really need to change their watchman as their is many girls in my college so at least one or two lady watchmen should college hire for their safety

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my college they provide us a presentation concept in which they teach us about how to face the real world and the remove the fear of speaking to world .they try to make every student more confident in any manner. Basically my department is soo good that they teach us alot of real world how to speak, how to look, how to handle everything in professional manner

Pillai college inside out

Likes

Teachers are well qualified and experienced
The curriculum is suitable for students who are doing professional courses like CA CS ACCA etc.
There is always a scope for starting a side hustle in this college. You will find many associations and clubs

Dislikes

The examination results are always unexpected. Correction of papers and result declaration is unsatisfactory as marks are not given properly.
The extra facilities provided in college seems to be just for name sake because there is very limited time to access the facilities.
The schedule of the college is dynamic and there is no concrete timetable. Teachers complete their syllabus in last moment

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is relative to Mumbai University curriculum. College takes intiative in making the student confident as it includes practicing presentation skills and builds communication skills simultaneously.
