Course Curriculum Overview
First of All,this Course gives you Specialisation in two fields - Accounting and Finance which are one of the most high paying fields for Commerce Graduates. The Curriculum is decent considering the mix of theoretical and practical components included. The teachers here focus mainly on completing their Syllabus which they must avoid. There are exams going on like every month and the difficult is easy to moderate.
Internships Opportunities
The training and Placement cell is active and helps in providing internships and training to the students. They conduct Soft skills training at the end of each Year so that students can get prepared for interviews and get Jobs and Interviews
Placement Experience
Placements are decent around 6-7 LPA and almost 50% students get placed and the Highest package is Around 22LPA . Many MNCs visit the college such as McKinsey,Barclays, Goldman Sachs etc. • I am planning to get placed in a MNC.
Fees and Financial Aid
For first Year - I paid around ₹75,000 and for 2nd Year,it is around ₹86,000 but for the upcoming First Year Batch from 2026 has to pay around ₹1,50,000 fees per Year for my Course i.e., Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance). My college has Gujarati Minority Quota and hence, the cutoff score is low for them. There are various types of Scholarships and Freeships Available for Narsee Monjee College students such as SC/ST/OBC/VJNT/SBC Scholarship which covers Tuition Fees + Maintenance.
Campus Life
There are a lot of Fests Almost every month,a fest happens in the College Such as 1. Umang 2. Arthashastra 3. Techfest 4. Insight 5. Cultural Festival 6. Annual Day - Organised by NM Cultural Society. Gymkhana is available in the college premises
Admission
I choose this college because of the Reputation of this College as one of the best Commerce College in India and the thing I can't make to the SRCC is that I started my CUET UG preparation very late. The admission process is smooth and fully online which makes it convenient for Outstation students. • I applied to top DU colleges and got allotted in Sri Venkateswara College,Delhi University but I rejected it because I thought that I might get better exposure in NM college because Sri Venkateswara College is a multi-stream College and Nm college is specifically for College along with better rankings. • Yes,I didn't make into the SRCC because of my low CUET score (872.5/1000) + General Category. • Admission is based on the Class 12th Score and the Cutoffs are very high - around 95%
Faculty
Faculty to Student relationship is very good. The faculties are very approachable and nice. A student can approach any faculty any time and can take all the career related guidance from them. Majority of the Teachers are Phd holders or CA ,hence, they have vast knowledge of what they are teaching. The best Faculty for Accountancy is Mr.Vishwanath Acharya - He just teaches Financial Accounting too good. There are End semester exams along with 2 or 3 Internal Continuous Assessment (ICA) . ICA includes 2 - 10 marks test along with Presentation or Assignments depending on the Subject
Night Life
There is a notorious Charsi Gali outside the college which is famous for being the spot for all smokers. There are also popular stalls such as Anand Stall,Amar Stall. The most popular cafe near the College is Benne Dosa The locality is generally safe but some cases of snatching kept coming.
