Remarks

College is awesome. The experience can not be compared. One of the best campus in India and of course of the oldest.

Entrance Preview

No entrance exam for journalism. And Madras christian college (MCC) is the best in India. there was no such thing as entrance exam or interview for the course or college admission

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum was not helping. As in, the overall course was ok. My core interest was program production. The Curriculum helped me a lil over my core interest.

Internships Opportunities

College intern experience was amazing, learnt a lot more than college. The practical knowledge was abundant. No stipend were offered but they welcome our ideas and appreciated our efforts and contribution of work we shared with them.

Placement Experience

Placement cell was doing a good job in our college. Companies like google and reputed firms were tied up with our college. And the package was up to an individuals talent. Basic pay was 20k per month

College Events

There are lot of event happening in and around college. There are 6 hostel inside college premises and all the hostels have individual festival. And there is one big college celebrations called deepwoods

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure are affordable. We have to pay fee for all the semesters receptively. MCC doesn't encourage donations for the college. Instead lots and lots of students are pursuing their education for free. All the sport man get free education and free hostel facility

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't about the scholarship and the loan facility given by our college to the students. As far as i know, they have student exchange facility and tied up with the colleges abroad.

Campus Life

Now there are like 1500 to 2000 students inside the campus. MCC's campus is the best campus in India. A lot of Extracurriculars happening in and around the campus. Lot of sportive events and media event tend to happen across the departments and Campus

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are best part of the college. 365 acres of college, three men and 3 female hostels one chapel and lots of forest. Hostels are cheap comparatively PGs, good hygenic food and indival rooms for student are the special features of the hostels

External Expense: Rs. 4000 - Rs. 7000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is good. They help students to get jobs and support through the eduction and above all it is code of contact to each other. Seniors always support juniors.

Exam Structure

6 semester and 2 internal test in between every semester and practicals for all the subjects accordingly.

Faculties were not that good. But as a person they were really helpful. Technically faculty weren't amazing. lack of teaching skills. Inexperience faculties. They thought us up to the subject, didn't let us to experiment thee subject.

My collage full of nature covered, birds sound in after 6.00 pm I loved it. And college is like greenish and opposite site there is thindal murugan kovill this is so good
Fancy store and canteen also have in our college. Big sports ground also have in our college, hand ball was so good in our college we also celebrated 50th year celebration of college
Pongal celebration are celebrated highly like columbus and many games are there in pongal celebration in inside our college we are celebrated happily. Food also provided in our college

Dislikes

I didn't like that our staff keep test in lunch hours also . They strictly maintain the class always test , seminars
No western dress wear in our department I didn't like that chudi and pant full covered shall we want to wear in our college
No free hours given . Home work like scholl . I fill I am going to school

Course Curriculum Overview:

Surroundings are good. Exam timing 3 hours . And normal internal test is about one hour maximum one and half hour. Test are strictly maintain. Teaching in tamil can understand by students I think so . And ppt method need more in class . Staff to teach all the lessons and students sometimes take one part of lesson

Likes

College environment was very neat and clean always.
The birds they kept at the front side campus were so pleasant and calm
Campus was large in size and comfortable

Dislikes

College management is very strict in handling students
College management allot less money as prize money for academic winners
Students should get pass even for 2 minutes late entry

Course Curriculum Overview:

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

The rigour of the course is very intense. The syllabus which is followed here is intense and rigorous. Its unique compared to the syllabus offered in other colleges of India.
Staff lore is very good in MSE. Most of the staffs encourage doubts and are also willing to have conversations with you. Faculties are knowledgeable and they know there stuff very well. They take much interests if you reach out to them through mail.
They provide a lot of guest lectures which gives us a lot of exposure and we get to know how economics works in the real life policy making sectors.

Dislikes

Theres no opportunities for sports and extra curricular activities. They don’t conduct any events rather it is done by putting our own money and by the efforts of the students only.
The campus is very small, and there are no proper areas for sports etc and also the canteen is very bad. It is super minimal.
If you want social life then this college is not the place, only the studious one survive here. Well you can still make friends here but then the college ‘itself’ does not provide any social life

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics,python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.

Peaceful atmosphere where we can concentrate and study
weekly dawah class where we can learn many things
Qualified faculty members who are always ready to help us out

Dislikes

The fees structure of the college is little high
They do not provide any study material to prepare ourself for semester exams
They do not take us for a long trip to make our mind feel fresh

The reviews being good with high ranking and college environment with enthused challenges tasks , competition with the MCC Traditions disciplines help me to earn the stress management . A view on recent days MCC

First there is no test admission it purely based on your cut off mark and first come first serve. The factors that made me choose Madras Christian College were it's tradition and culture, in mcc we have rich culture and traditions which took places throughout the year, I get to know about this from my brother. A life in MCC

I have a applied up to 8 college and I got selected from all the 8 colleges First one Guru Nanak Second one Vivekananda College Third MCC Fourth Loyola Thomas College Sixth dgv 7th Hindustan College And SRM ramapuram I have choose the MCC College because it has good amount of surroundings and and good amount of environment which are useful for the people who are studying there and they have different types of cultures and people all over from India you studying in the college. Nmcc there are 70% of the people are from Kerala on 30% from Chennai. So colleges good campus interview on teaching skills on speaking skills and kind hearted person.
