Remarks

Overall a decent college with good faculty, good placement, friendly seniors, helpful teachers and good campus life. Last but not least there is an opportunity for everyone in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Yes the course curriculum is very innovative and fun learning. The exam structure is also very descent, tests are conducted in periodical manner to help us to know our educational knowledge. It is very helpful for our students and for making us a better professional.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 102000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement of this college is very good. So far the informations provided by the final year seniors, 88% students got placed through college campusing in various companies.

College Events

4.5

There are large number of events celebrated in this college, where any student can participate. No such discrimination is allowed in the participation of the events, it's open for all. Events include tech fest like TESSERACT, cultural fest like ZYZZVA, inter institutional cultural competition like EUPHONIUS and mamy more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There is a descent fees structure of this college considering the educational quality that it provides. We have to pay our fees before the beginning of every semester through online fees payment. There is no such additional fees or charges that was demanded to be paid.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't opted for any of the scholarship or educational loan for getting admission in this college.

Campus Life

The campus life is one of the best feature which I enjoy in this college. An excellent campus life with a very much green environment which is a very rare scene in today's colleges. Extracurricular activities include playing football, cricket, volleyball, basketball and much more.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumina network is also good. Seniors are very friendly and helpful and provide us with our every need in their possible way.

Admission

After getting my WBJEE rank card I opted for Online Counselling for getting admission in the colleges. As the counselling commenced from 1st round to 2nd I waited for my turn to get admission in the college. When the result of the 2nd counselling was released I checked that I have got my seat in this college in my preferred stream.

Faculty

There is a decent faculty present in the college. They help us in our every need in the educational field. The teachers are friendly and co-operative with the students. Regular lectures are given by the teachers to the students along with class notes which help the students to go through the syllabus very easily.

Likes

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Likes

The discipline is followed very strictly. Also you have access to library which is good, teachers are helpful and no ragging policy which is strictly followed and has a decent environment.
Thery conduct seminars which encourages students. Many faculty members are knowledgeable experienced in their respective subjects and helpful willing to solve doubts beyond the classroom also.
The college has decent infrastucture including classrooms, labs and library .

Dislikes

While the curriculum is decent ,it lacks sufficeint practical implementation.More hands on projects, real world application and industry exposure would improve learning significantly.
Campus life can sometimes fell limited in terms of active student interaction.Opportunites for clubs, networking and collaborative activities could be improved.
The college comes under St tHomas School so the campus is not great it is compact and has a canteen.

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT GNIT

I got selected into Jis kalyani, Guru Nanak, Brainware, SNU and Adamas University. The reason I chose this particular college is by checking their environment and their placement rates particularly in Btech, Another major reason for choosing this particular college was it's distance from my home, leaving me with a time to self study without exhausting myself everyday. I did get a rejection from Narula Institute of Technology Agarpara, and that was because of the booked slots already and besides my Wbjee score weren't that good to start with. The admission process is very simple yet effective. Firstly I had to call the admission officials and they gave us a date and asked us to meet them with few document such as my 10th and 12th marksheets along with my jee and Wbjee scores. Once we showed them our marks, they evaluated based upon my merit of 12th subjects and then I got a direct admission into the college. one could even get into the college through counselling if their jee marks are standard enough. the college takes your 12th, jee and Wbjee scores to get accepted in it and the overall admission experience was quite nice....Read More
