Remarks
My course duration for B.A. Psychology in Assam Women's University was quite good and fun. I learnt a lot of things and got exposure to a new environment helping me grow and learn better. The thing I liked was that the university provided diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses for all streams as applied science, arts, technology, industry, commerce, management and social science. The college also has a decent infrastructure.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite good and follows a semester-based approach. We had 6 semesters with basic psychology-related and additional subjects. The examinations were held at the end of each semester. Surprise tests were also scheduled by teachers at regular intervals apart of internal examination.
Placement Experience
The college provides quite good placements and research opportunities to meritorious and hardworking students. Many of us were into internships because of their good academic record. The university has a good placement record even before us.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for my B.A. Psychology was Rs. 10,000 charged annually. I paid around Rs. 26-27,000 for my whole course duration, which is quite feasible and cheap in my respect. The college fee is quite good compared to other colleges.
Campus Life
The university has good and well-maintained labs, the library is also quite good and contains a good amount and variety of books. The college also actively participates in state-level competitions for sports and other activities.
Admission
For taking admission in Assam Women's University, I gave an entrance exam. The combined score of my 12th aggregate and entrance exam decided my rank, after getting a locked seat for B.A. Psychology in the university I had to complete my admission process to ensure my admission in college. The merit list was declared on the university website
Faculty
The faculty of the college is quite friendly, highly qualified and skilled professionals. We got to understand most of the subjects with ease due to the high expertise of teachers in teaching. The teachers also lent a helping hand to students weak in academics.
