Remarks
When I was searching for a college Chandigarh university was the one which had a low fee structure as it offered various scholarships. It has a great cultural environment which helps in personal growth. Many events are conducted which gives the opportunity not only to socialize but to enhance confidence by participation and building contacts. Furthermore, the faculty is good and the curriculum is preferable.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum and faculty are good. The department is fully equipped. Most of the staff is young which creates a good environment for hesitation free discussions. Some of the faculty members are highly experienced. The guest lectures are 1-2 in a month. The students get good opportunities like photography, news reporting and writing for newsletters and event management for the University events which gives them an industry like space and experience.
Internships Opportunities
The teachers are really helpful and help the students to get internships. I particularly opted for a content writing internship under which I had to write blogs, captions and taglines etc.
Placement Experience
I am still in the course so I have no experience of placements, but talking about my seniors they are placed in companies like HT, Big FM, Aaho, Pitara tv, Balaji Telefilms etc.

Campus Life
Talking particularly about campus life it is really amazing and full of events like Tashan nites, CU fest, media fest and international and national youth festivals. The libraries are well equipped and contain all the media related books. Every department has its library and there is one central library as well. Many forums like the poetry forum, dance groups and modelling teams exist in CU which are actually run by the students. There are many clubs as well.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are good and spacious. The mess food is also nice. While the time of admissions you just have to fill up some form for the hostel to avail it and pay the fee for a semester prior hand. The menu includes chicken, egg curry, pulses, seasonal veg, sweet dishes like gulab jamun, rasogulla etc.
