Entrance Preview

I wrote Karnataka CET to get the seat hear. Medicine was the childhood dream for me. I was very determined to pursue medicine from JJMMC Davanagere because it is the only college in India or perhaps the world where the highest number of medical students graduate every year. This is the most diversified co students you can ever get.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is the best one can have. It is so because the students can study all the subjects in the 4yrs duration without any hassle. The course has yearly exams and there will be monthly tests to prepare you for the final exam.

Internships Opportunities

The stipend offered was 6000 in 2008 but now the stipend is 15000 for undergraduate and 35000 for postgraduates. Internship is one of the best years of your learning life.

Placement Experience

Your prospects of getting a job will be 1000 times better than any graduate who is passing put from the immediate competitive college.

College Events

College day is celebrated every year, social is celebrated by every individual batch separately. Apart from that there will be fashion show, cultural show organized by the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The is cheaper than that of the government colleges. The fee in the first year will be around 3 to 5lakh and the same will follow for the next 4years. The management students may have to pay around 80lakh to 1crore for all the years combined.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loans from SBI bank will be the best bet, the other option would be HDFC. SBM bank is on of the option that you can explore.

Campus Life

The labs are very good. The sports life is awesome as you get play lot of games for the college at university level. You will be having a sports week once 6months.

The alumni network can be termed as the largest in the world and you will find at least one alumni from JJMMC in every reputed hospital in India. The strong network allows you to get a back support.

Exam Structure

Yearly exams which are preceded by 3internal exams. Every internal exam will carry equal weight. The final internal will be provided with probable questions.

Likes

It was good professors and friendly teaching staff
Campus life is good, it provide new opportunities and has events and various clubs
Everyone here are good and friendly and is a lovely place to study

Dislikes

Hospital is far from college, which is again not an issue as they send bus service
It can give and provide more opportunities
Hostel facilities can be improved and they can build few more lecture halls

I chose this course because I wanted to help the needy. Also this college provides best education for mbbs to come out with beautiful colours, they provide so many opportunities. There will be three internal assessments and one final university exam

Life as a medical student

Likes

Vydehi has the best museum with accurate specimens. VASA is main attraction of Vydehi offering simulations for basic life support, trauma management, Advanced life support, laparoscopic surgeries, delivery and many more.
Central library of vydehi has great book collection for undergrads , PGs , competitive exams etc. It is well organised and we'll maintained
Security: My favourite of all is the security system of vydehi that make girls feel safe. No strangers are allowed without being checked and hostlers are not allowed to go out without permission

Dislikes

Hostel fee: Hostel fee in vydehi is a little expensive considering the facilities provided.
Students are not allowed to leave the college premises during lecture hours which can be troublesome when they have to leave due to emergency or when classes are not helpful
Uniform: Newly introduced inform in vydehi decreases respect for interns. Patients treat intern medical officers as nurses due to uniform.o

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is based on practical scenarios and very relevant since doctors need to understand real life scenarios inorder to treat patients. Curriculum includes OSCE and certified skills that prepare students to become good doctors. More individual attention and skill development can help students understand topics and mould into good clinicians.

The college has been consistently ranked under top10 medical college for many decades.
The faculties and infrastructure is really top notch.
The hospital is very good in handling all the patients properly and systematically.

Dislikes

The course fee is too high for a middle class student.
The class is filled with rich students so if you have less money you can feel inferior.
The rankings which the college claims sometimes sound gimmicky.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS comprises 19 Subjects which is vast. Knowing so many things make you not only knowledgeable but also you have very important role in society. This course is filled with practical knowledge which are compulsory to get. This gives you skills which only a few people can have. So you already stand in society. The newer changes that has been made by NMC has reduced the time for studies. It was less exhausting before. Exams are properly placed and arranged . They are well divided into theories, practicals, internal examinations, certification for skills, etc. Last year has more papers now.

Great coure , great college , better life

Likes

Library is well furnished with lots and lots of book.there is well furnished chairs and table like compartments where students can completely isolate himself and study. There are thousands of books in library
Study room is provided at the top floor of the institute. It is really clean and there are separate room like compartments where students can study well. They can even discuss in group if they want
We have a cafe inside our institute. Here we can have tea and coffee to relieve ourselves

Doctor is a noble profession , the mere respect which we get by being doctor is one of the prime motive for me to pursuade this course Aside from physiology , anatomy and biochemistry we have a e t c o m which is a type of curriculum which is thought to us in which we learn to deal with different situations during our career and they also help us in terms of improving our communication which is very crucial In real life application . Personally for me the curriculum started on September and we had our first internals in January 2nd around March third round me and we had a final exams in August Honestly speaking MBBS is not an easy course , it is really hard, you need to understand the core, and then applied to even in theory and practical exams. concept

The whole bunch of colleges lies in grennery .
Hostel os very close to college , and very clean.
Insfracture is very good , very good envirnoment

It is situated in remote area, place in boring
Even in hostle mess is very bad , even though it is clean
In hospital patient load is low , since we are doctor's we need exp with huge no. Patient interaction

The course I am in is mbbs, once I get out of college with graduation, there is a job awaiting me. Now the NMC medical brings the next exam for 3 years. All are saying it will be the toughest exam of medical since the pervious one.

I liked teaching of the cloth .It is good and also very strict.The patient input is little less when compared to other colleges
The hostel rooms are good ,spacious ,good environment
The campus is situated next to lake which makes campus more beautiful

Dislikes

Hostel food is worst chicken is also provided but taste is not good
Watchman of Subbaih behave rudely with students
There is no water filter fitted in classroom or corridor

Amazing college. Well reputed and ranks the fourth best medical college in India. Faculty is priceless and very experienced. Hospital patients jntake is quite good. Many patients come from far off places for treatment. A complete new world. Safety is too good. You'll love having a life in manipal.

Jjm for me was chosen among various other colleges mainly because of its review and it's patient load. During the period of applying for a college I preferred Vydehi in Bangalore over jjm but my rank wasn't high enough to get into Vydehi. Although jjm was put below Vydehi on the priority list for me, I am grateful for getting into jjmmc. Insights of JJMMC

I did apply in All India Counselling. But didn't get a seat because of insufficient marks, the ones i get a seat were not feom my selected ones I choose this college among other selected colleges because of its good reputation, relatively less fess, association with government College and also after talking to some seniors. The other colleges that i applied to have higher cutoff, hence i was not able to get a seat in them. Admission process- karnataka is an open state for counselling for all india students.form is filled online and get college according to their ranks.I got this college in mop up round (last round). After getting the college we have to go to KEA karnataka for submitting our tuition fees as DD and documents then after clearing all things we go to our college , there we fill admission form and submit rest documents and pay other fees.Exam accepted for college is NEET only.cutoff is around 600 marks out of 720.overall admission process is good but little bit hectic...Read More

Positive Comments. -A very old(we r the 50th batch) College - Experienced Faculties -A lot of Patients ( infact 2 other government hospitals here also comes under our Management, dut to some contract with th government, it includes the Davangere district hospital too, which is a tertiary care Center,.
