Remarks

The teachers are always busy encouraging and uplifting the students. The college also provides and number of opportunities for the students to grow. the negatives about the college would be we do not have much area apart from the college buildings to hang around. Plus they keep finding reasons to collect money from the students every now and then but then again this could be found in other colleges as well. St. Teresa’s College being a womens college all the students would equally say that the bathroom facility the college offers for about 2000 students is like 15-20 bathrooms which is horrible and very unhygenic with broken taps and pipes.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I am studying Information Technology. The course structure is good. This college is an autonomous college, so they frame curriculum only what is needed. The labs need some improvement in infrastructure. Three internals are conducted in each semester. If you fail in internals you need to attend the remedial classes.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements are good only for IT and CSE students. There are lot of internship opportunities. Well the stipend is fair enough. Well I am a fresher so I don't know what are all companies coming for offering job. But there are a lot of companies including companies like Infosys, Zoho etc. coming to offer job.

College Events

3

The college conducts DhrUVA which used to be the grand cultural conducted in the college but now it is not as grand as it used to be. This year it is held only for 1 day. Another event called KALAM which is also conducted in the college. Many contests are conducted and the winners are given prizes in KALAM.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Well the fees is quite expensive approximately you have to pay nearly 2 lakhs including hostel and tuition fees. But I don't know why they are collecting 500 as medical fees because they never get us to the hospital we on the own has to go to the hospital and all the expenses has to be managed by us.

Fees and Financial Aid

No the college does not provide any scholarship or provide loans. It would be great if they provide loans for the students. So the students who are expecting loan facilities are subjected to depression.

Campus Life

4

There are no gender bias in this college. All are treated equally. So there is no need to fear. Workshops are conducted frequently. The entry fees for the workshop is also lesser than the other colleges. Speaking about the politics, There is no such thing exist in the college.

Hostel Facilities

3

I opted the hostel. The hostel is quite good. Not the best. The fees is quite high for this hostel. They clean the rooms once in a week. Restrooms are also cleaned good. The students should not go outside the hostel after 6 pm which is a disadvantage.

Alumni/Alumna

I haven't seen any alumni coming to the college so I have no idea about the alumni. I would be happy if the alumni come to the college and do some need to the present studying students. There is no ragging in the college which is a advantage. I don't know about the ragging in senior hostel.

Admission

I got admission in this college through TNEA counselling. It is a chain process. If you pass in 12th std with minimum pass marks, you need to apply for the counselling in online. Then you need to fill the choicelist. There will be 3 to 4 rounds of counselling. After the counselling is over you will come to know which college you are going to join.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty in this college are well qualified and trained, though they need to improve in the training methods. It would be better if if they use projector frequently. There are staffs who are P. hd scholars.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
