Remarks

Even though DTU is consider one of the best engineering colleges in India in reality it isn't any special to other colleges. Teaching and other academic facilities is very lacking and the administration is way too slow. But, DTU is exceptional in terms of social and extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

DTU academic curriculum is not focused on research, instead of that it promotes research opportunities externally. The course structure is very old now that needs a necessary update. Exam happens twice in a semester and the paper is focused more on theory rather than applying it as a concept.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement and jib opportunities are among the best in India. Company that comes to DTU are facebook, amazon, paytm, INFOSIS to name a few. Our college only provides internship in 3rd year but not many company comes for the core branches.

College Events

5

DTU is know for its fest all over India. It holds the literature fest every year which is one of the biggest in India. It also has fest related to business, sports, etc. But the biggest fest in the cultural fest which is 2nd or 3rd largest in India with an approx. footfall of 1, 20, 000 people over 3 days. There are numerous competition that you can participate in. The cultural fest offers Bollywood, Punjabi and EDM night as their main events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As an NRI it is very expensive and there is no scholarship facilities for us, also paying extra doesn't give you any special treatment or extra facilities. But, for local students the fees is on the average side in India.

Fees and Financial Aid

DTU doesn't offer any scholarship directly but it gives scholarship through partnership with Govt. of India. Most of the scholarships are aim towards the low income students. Their are very few merit based scholorship.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio in DTU is very bad especially in core branches. There are numerous workshop ranging from stress management to AI, DTU offers numerous workshop every year. Student Diversity is alright. DTU is a ragging free campus and it is very rare to see some being made fun of about their religion or economic status.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostels in college life are awesome. Everyone should stay in hostel in college. Ours hostel we had bunk beds l. Room was small with 1 fan and common bathroom. Foods were provided for 3 times. Including veg6and non veg

Alumni/Alumna

Senior who are currently enrolled or alumni are both very helpful, in terms academic and social well being. Past students of DTU had setup an enormous library of past papers and notes of all the subjects.

Admission

I wrote E-CET in the year 2016 and I secured 618 Rank.My father decided based on his knowledge therefore I choosed civil engineering.after getting rank through counciling conducted by government I alloted this college based on my rank and I directly contacted college with all my certificates and confirmed my seat.

Faculty

1

DTU has very good faculty in terms of qualification, they have studied from couple of the most prestigious colleges in India. Although they are highly qualified but they don't have any interest in teaching, almost everyone just hands over notes rather than teaching the subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
