Remarks

No, I don't have many bad remarks about my college, but I suggest there should be more classrooms and also a Boy's Hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview

In the current UGC structure, the college is not only focusing on the texts but also arranging lots of Counseling, Departmental Seminar, seminars on the topic we are studying, this makes us more professional. The Departmental Seminar makes us more positive towards any interview. Or Any other professional seminars.

Placement Experience

No, as I'm studying in a General Degree college, there is no placement campusing at all. I'll say the University should focus on this issue, to make the campuses more fruitful.

College Events

Only, yearly College fest for the students, longing for only two days. nothing else, But, In our college campus, Our CP celebrates cultural, devotional programs. Like Saraswati Puja, 15th August, Teachers' Day, Republic Day, and many more. We, students, arrange the Welcome Ceremony for the Freshers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

No, there are no additional payments required for admission at all. The Office accepts every type of payment like Cheques, Cash, Online Transactions. The additional charge for every student is for three Year Computer Course and this is mandatory for every student.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the college has Scholarship Opportunities, but I don't opt for any scholarship or educational loan.

Campus Life

Campus Life is good, the professors treat us like their friends, and they are very helpful too. Gender. The ratio I think on every 1000 boys, there are more than 995 girls. College politics made the college structures better. There are not many fanatics on religion, In one word, I can say that the college administration made a good Campus for the students.

Hostel Facilities

No, Our college doesn't have a hostel for boys, there was a single Hostel named Nivedita Hostel for Girls only, and the hostel operated by the College administrative Authority, I don't have any knowledge about the Hostel Facilities.

Alumni/Alumna

Yea, the seniors are very helpful. Even still now we were not ragged for a single time, they help us to make the Campus more amazing.

Admission

I opted for this course because I love the subject and if you ask why this institution, I'll say that I chose the institution because it the only college in my surroundings. And I Heard that the teaching Quality and the faculty are much better than many other colleges.

There is a quality Number of lectures on my course to make us Exam ready. The professors are very sensitive towards our studies, they come with every answer to our questions. They have very good expertise in their subjects. And This is the fact that makes our every class interesting.

My Experience at Jaipuria to summed it up.

Likes

Quality education and an academically enriching environment. Most importantly, well- versed professors.
Extra- curriculum activities, along with an active sports cell and NCC, and usually various opportunities to participate in Inter-College Competitions.
Well maintained gym with separate timings for girls and boys. The canteen offers a wide variety of foods at an affordable price.

Dislikes

For my department, there was no educational excursion.
Negligence internship opportunities are available for my course.
Only some placement opportunities are available, and companies like TCS and Wipro came up for campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My passion and a bit of curiosity in International Relations led me to choose this course. The curriculum, in fact, prepared me well for further academic pursuits. For improvement, educational excursions and internship opportunities should be made available. The exam is held twice a year on semester basis, with papers set at a moderate to difficult level.

A balanced view of campus life and learning

Likes

The English department has experienced and supportive teachers. Most professors explain concepts clearly and encourage discussions, close reading and critical thinking.
The course is very affordable, especially compared to private colleges. With scholarships, it becomes accessible for students from middle and lower income backgrounds.
The college has a friendly and diverse student crowd. The girls to boys ratio is balanced with slightly more female students, which creates a comfortable learning atmosphere.

Dislikes

The infrastructure needs improvement. Classrooms and common areas could be better maintained and modern facilities are limited.
There are very few placement opportunities for arts students.
Although some academic events take place, extracurricular activities and active student societies could be improved for better campus life.

Placement Experience:

There are limited on campus placement opportunities here, especially for Arts and Eng Hons students. Most students focus on higher studies, competitive exams or off campus opportunities after graduation. The college provides basic guidance through teachers but formal placement drives are rare.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira: A Life Changing Experience

Likes

The college has an ideal atmosphere for studying and the hostel accommodation allowed for close bonding with seniors who helped us out in studies as well as personal matters. The teachers are extremely talented and treated us with care and respect.
It is an all boys college and it is without any doubt a ragging-free campus. There is anti-ragging cell as well as student councelling cell available on the campus to help out with these issues.
The experience of hostel life and the close sense of community that is formed during my stay has been instrumental in my growth and the strict implementation of discipline in our daily lives enriched me and changed my life for the better.

Dislikes

The administration is not always the best. Applications, forms, seminars and event permits all required a long time to get approved by the authorities as most of the time it meant compromising our strict schedule as it is a residential college.
The average food quality in the mess could be better. Again it is not always the best but for the most part it is decent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum provides a comprehensive retrospective of literature from the Old English period to Modern period, while also including English works by Indian authors to demonstrate the diversity and evolution of English literature over the years. The current curriculum I believe requires more seminars and lectures from guest faculties on contemporary research and topics.

Likes

I really like the environment of our college .
And the brilliant and talented professors with phed
And the friendly nature of the people in the college

Dislikes

The unavailability of the boys hostel in our college .
No bigger playground to play ...as there is only volleyball court to play .
The toilet facilities are not poorly managed .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really liked geography as a subject for learning and exploring as it includes fieldwork , surveys and excursion which enhances our mind and experience in our life and this way we have many opportunities to learn new things in our life which is helpful for our future purposes. The only improvements I would like to note that to improve the toilet facilities and placement opportunities.

Likes

Our college has one of the most beautiful infrastructure. I have never seen such infrastructure in any other colleges in our town. Our clg has the best infrastructure with all the facilities required for the students.
Second thing which I like the most about our college is the rules and regulations which helps each and everyone alot. Propers rules and regulations for everything academic co curricular activities
Third thing is the faculty our college got the best faculty ever each one of them are really very helpful and kind. If any problem face the faculty will obviously help you to get a prophet solution to your problem.

Dislikes

Just one thing which the the timing as many students faces problem regarding the timing as sometimes it's too early like 7 am in the morning

Course Curriculum Overview:

If I had to rate the course curriculum then it would be 9 as this course is really good one. The college provides proper teaching facilities with the best teachers and with the help of them it feels so easy and fun to learn. There are no improvement required for this field if they will keep on doing the same thing it will really be good

My overall experience is too good with good environment
I get proper theoretical knowledge from experienced faculties.
We get hands on experience from different star categories of hotels during the course in every weekend.

I am a graduate student in Dr Gour Mohan Roy College.Due to lock down I couldn't attend my classes.So I used to go through from my home.There is no quota available in my course.Through the admission I want to get an Honours degree.The admission is based on the previous degree that I have got in my higher secondary level.The qualifying mark is fifty percentage mark from previous academic level.In honours criteria they search for the students who have got 60%.The students must be below 22 years.On the councelling day the students have to provide their original academic documents of their previous level.The students ,who have more qualification by their percentage got chance first....Read More
