Remarks

All in all DTU is a great college where students spend the best four years of their life. The college management works hard to make sure the efficient working of the college

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very much field oriented giving a both conceptual and practical knowledge. Practicals are conducted along with various research projects under the guidance of experienced professors. In a semester exams are conducted twice. The course curriculum is such that one can get in depth knowledge which leads to better understanding.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement ratios are very good. There is a separate training and placement department dedicated to prepare students for job interviews and to give guidance for future. Regular informative seminars are conducted for the students as per their needs and interests. There is an excellent placement ratio of more than 80%.

College Events

5

Regular events are conducted in the college for overall development of student. There are technical, cultural, sports and literary events all around the year. In few events, more than 50,000 students are involved and all the students of Delhi region take part in them

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible and at par with other engineering colleges. The overall course fee stands at 7.5 lacs for a period of 4 years. The fee remains same for all BTech courses. The fees is accepted digitally by means of net banking, credit card or debit card and by offline means through Bank challan.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't opted for any scholarship. Scholarships are given to students with a humble background bu the university.

Campus Life

5

The college welcomes all students from different cultures, backgrounds and from all over India. Even international students are also a part of the university. The campus life is as good as it can be keeping you indulged throughout the semester. People with interest in sports can become part of college teams of different games. Various socities and clubs are present covering every sphere of literary, cultural and technical aspect. Regular elections are held to choose the Student Association.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels are on double and triple sharing basis. For third and fourth year students, single rooms are available. In addition to hostels PG facilities at nominal costs are also available in the vicinity of the college.

Alumni/Alumna

DTU has a strong alumni network, this is evident from the fact that recently alumni meet of batch of 1969 was conducted. They are very supportive as well. Founder of Paytm is a DTU alumni. On various occasions passed out students have been called for guest lectures and for guidance purposes.

Admission

The entrance is through JEE Mains exam and one needs to apply on JAC Delhi. The admission process begins in end of June and works through seat allotment on the basis of ranks. A variety of courses are available to choose from as per interest. Once the seats are alloted, they are needed to be confirmed by going to the University. This being one of the best engineering institute after IITs, I chose it.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are very much experienced who have lots of research papers under their name. The professors and HODs are highly qualified professionals who have a great hold in their subjects. There are atleast 20 professors and assistant professors relating to mechanical department.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.
