My college life

COMEDK is an exam held by Karnataka for admissions of non Karnataka students in colleges of karnatka .Which we gave and got a rank of 15000 to get admission in BIET through a proper counselling process that was held in Bangalore . As i was suggested by one of my cousin brother about this college as no 2 college for studying mechanical engineering.

There was no such facility in our college for internship so i arranged myself and did my internship from NTPC, kahalgaon. And they were not providing any steepen for non Karnataka students even they belongs to reserve category or had low income.

There was a good opportunity for EC and CS students to get placed but there was lesser opportunity for other branch students. Almost 50 percent were placed and the major companies came to recruit the students were TCS, MINDTREE,TechMahindra ,Mphasis etc. And the average package was ranging between 2.5 to 3.5 LPA.

The tuition fee for 4 years was 5.65L. Apart from that we had to pay exam fee for every semester and there were some other charges like forum fee , library fee etc.

No such facility was there. They were providing the loan documents easily whatever was required by the bank.

The alumni network was not very strong but there college had some links and network by virtue of which. It used tom held regular seminars and employment programs but seniors helped a lot during curriculum and the placement phase .

There was 8 semester exams organized by university and every semester had 3 internals. Internals were conducted by the college but externals were conducted by the university and in each semester lab exams were there and was very hectic for we guys to clear easily.

All the faculty were good in behavior as well as knowledge. All were experienced at least 4 year in their specialization subjects and they were having deep knowledge regarding subjects and specially their teaching skills were very good and were motivating.
