My College Days

The discipline which the college holds is the key why it's students are able to face any situation and come out of it.

The course is designed as per the industry requirements. Both theoretical and practical approach were used to impart the learning. The college also encourage it's students to take online training from NPTEL. It organizes industrial training for 3rd year students. Companies like Infosys Pvt Ltd, Cognizant, ITC etc visits every year to recruit it's students.

Infosys, Cognizant, ITC Infotech, Wipro are some of the reputed companies which offers their job every year to its students. Apart from them many start up companies too recruit it's students and offer their offer letter. Every year nearly 88-90 percent of the students get their job on-campus. The college organizes placement training session for its students from 6th semester onwards.

Every year technical fest is organised by the college in which students from different college come to showcase their talents. The students who participate in the events receive participation certificate. The winners are given prize money which differ from event to event. Generally the fest have equal number of technical and fun event in the fest. It also organizes cultural festival for its own students.

Feasible. The college accept fees in cash, cheque and demand draft mode. It provides 30-35 days time to submit the fee. The break down and structure of the fee is transparent and available on the college website. One time security deposit needs to be paid at the time of admission.

College provides scholarship to meritorious students based on their performance. It had two types of scholarship plans, one is twf, where a student tution fee is totally free. And the second one where the students tution fee is halved the others.

The gender ratio is equal. The college authorities treat everyone equally. The college had committees for different activities. These include social services, photography, sports, departmental journal, cultural society. Every year the college arrange tech festival where students from different college turns up to showcase their talent. Throughout the year along with studies college arranges different inter and intra college sports tournaments. It also arranges tournaments for girls but they are only for college students only.

The senior students and the alumi are very supportive. They treat their junior like their own brother and sister. Guide and motivate them.

The college takes admission based on the merit score of the state entrance examination that is WBJEE. I choose this course because of the growth factor this industry have in future. The factors which lead me to choose this institution were: 1) Discipline 2) Faculty 3) Extra curricular activities The admission procedure is simple and is provided in the institute website www.stcet.org

The faculty are highly qualified professionals with industrial experience. Generally 4 theory lecture and 3 practical lecture are taken. The lecture number differ from course to course. The faculty are always available to clarify the doubts after the class.
