Entrance Preview

EAMCET which is the common entrance exam at state level in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.I secured 11142 rank, the combination of our intermediate score and the performance in EAMCET exam. Intermediate score ( 11th and 12th) is 900.With that rank I had few good colleges, this one is near by and good for placements, those are the reasons to opt that college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was given by JNTUH. The course curriculum is good to get the good beginning for the software engineer. It had all the basic concepts covered in the term of 4 years. We had 2 projects in 4 years, one is at the end of the 3rd year and the other one at the end of 4th year. Projects help in getting the practical knowledge and a good idea about real time scenarios. The electives option was given in 4th year, had 2 electives, one is on software development and other is network programing. They gave the extended idea in those areas.

Internships Opportunities

We don't have much internship option, there is no specific company that offered internship from college. Some students tried internship out of college during the projects.

Placement Experience

4

The job opportunities are good, specially in IT industry. TCS, Deloitte, Accenture are the 3 main MNCs that visited our college. IBM is the other company where our college got major participation through pool campus drive. Around 120 students in our stream around 90 students were placed in any one of the companies. Some got in more than one. The packages offered by these companies are near same around 3.2 Lakhs per anum.

College Events

2.5

The technical and cultural events held by the college are only within the college, where all the departments have equal participation.Yearly 1 main cultural event takes place where all the students participate. With in the departments few more cultural events will be held, in the name of freshers party, farewell party. Technical events are only the departmental interests. They do happen rarely.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The Fee structure is feasible as per the government rules.Fee per year is around 32K, an there is small amount of fee for the exams. The fee must be paid yearly once, when the notification for fee is out.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Scholarships are not available but the merit awards and the attendance awards are given to the students based on the merit in every semester and the attendance in ever semester.

Campus Life

4

The Campus life is not much exiting but good enough. The extracurricular activities are given space only after the college hours. Through ball, basketball, badminton, and TT are the sports available in our college, students interested can join. NCC facility is available. The debates and group discussions are the part of curriculum and happen at times apart from that.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is maintained in through mails and groups, alumni meets happen during the college fests, although not frequent. The communication with the senior students is good with in the college not much outside.

Exam Structure

The Exam structure was as prescribed by the JNTUH. The exams and labs are periodic. They are neither hectic nor very much chilled out, one can easily balance with them.

Faculty

4

Faculty are good. They do have sufficient knowledge in the subject. They use to be very encouraging all the areas. Some faculty are average in teaching, but they use to give an idea about the subject, which help us in moving on by self study. For the key subjects the faculty are always good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
