Remarks

Mess food is not so good and needs to be improvised. Also The administration need to take a step backwards interfering in the lives of studetns. Intime of first year and girls hostel intime needs to be expanded. I interned at IIT Guwahati. It was marvelous with a great scenic beauty and awesome students, professors combinely with god brainiacs. Everything was just too awesome about IITG With good faculty,Labs, internet and DC facilities,Food and culture was also too awesome there.

Entrance Preview

I took AIEEE score 175 I opted for this college as this is one of the premiere institutes of india and an engineering student would just die to be a part of it. At the same time it has decent placement records and a wonderful infrastructure.

Placement Experience

4

It is good. Average package in my deot is 6LPA CS/IT 14LPA,Mech,Production approx 6LPA and more than 100 percent placement is experienced. So ample opportunities have been there in the past.

College Events

5

Pantheon Complete technical festBitotsav Complete Cultural fest. Guest stars from outside world are being called for perfoemances which is a very special experience we all do have. In the past we have experienced Live performances like kailash kher,Farhan Akhtar,Salim-Sulaiman. BIT Mesra is also a Sunburn campus now. We have had many DJs from Sunburn Goa performing on our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is slite expensive it was 80 per sem previously and hass been increased to 1.2 Lakhs per sem in the final year. Also mess fee is too expensive.Mess cuts of 5k Month for whatever we eat. Which is completely not worth it.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware of any suck facilities for general category students. But for Sc,ST,OBC there are ample opportunities. Like 50 Percent off on all expenses.

Campus Life

5

Everything was just fine. College admin helped a lot of clubs to grow and make there way to the outside world. Even if sometimes its hard to cope with the administration. The culture and students have been really good andactive participants of all of the clubs and extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Mess fee is too expensive. Mess cuts of 5k month for whatever we eat. Which is completely not worth it.

Alumni/Alumna

We have an alumni network BITOSA. Which is run by the alumni itself.Helping themselves to continue the legacy of the institue in the outside world. Meetings takes place. They are also a good network to approach for any finance related sponsorships and more. As we have a rally strong alumni. About 100 of our alumnis are CEOs and Founders in startups and elsewhere.

Exam Structure

Exams are held in the month of november in odd sems and in the month of april in even sems. Mid sems takes place in september and feb respectively. 25percent mid sem+15 percent internals + 60 Percent final exams are counted for pointer criterias to taken to measure the students' academic performance.

Faculty

3

Great but improvement is always the mother of neccesities. Faculties mostly from IITs and Good NITs but ostly bengalis and south indians. Listening and understanding problems are always there. But good knowledge is always appreciated.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Actually my branch is Electronics and communication engineering but my major interest lies in development area , i have gained all the skills in my college by my own taking some guidance from the seniors as they are very helpful and supporting. Improvements in course curriculum could be like they have to basically add one more course or any training program to help students for making skills and teaching them for their placements.(apart of the course , i am saying not because i am from ECE department , its common from any branch student)
