Remarks

Faculty is very bad they hardly know anything. They have no subject idea. Their is lot of politics and roits in campus which should be controlled. Marking and examination pattern is not good at all. Lot of improvement gas to made. Infrastructure is worst condition. Circullam should be revamp to bring new thing in main stream.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is good circullam with lot of content in it. Circullam matches top notch engineering college across the globe. Its mostly theoratical and less research driven, but it adds lot of value to the study. Good to see and gain vast knowkedge but really lack research skill overall.

Placement Experience

Placement is good if you belong to some specific branch like cs/it/fire and safety. Core branch has to struggle a lot for placement or they can get into some software giant company. Their is no scope of intership from my college. College has no role to play, you have to yourself.

College Events

There are lot of mind boggling events in my college which constitute of tech fest with lot of technical activity and shows. Cultural night where entire college come in their feet and science exhibition with lot of research model being shown up. Couple of other event and band comes up.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Comparing with other college, fee is much less than any other college in india. It is affordable fee which everyone can cope up.Fee include all the fee within like lab fee electeicity fee and other stuff. You can pay fee through sbi connect or through net backing or you can submmit a chalan on name of college. There is transparency on fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

No i have not opted for scholarships for this college. Generally people get it through state government or they can take loan.

Campus Life

Campus life is awesome with fun activities going all day and night with lot of learning opportunities. You can join several club going in college. Gender ration is 1:5 with boys dominant over girls. Their is not much diversity as people manily belong to kerala or bihar.

Hostel Facilities

No i was not living in hostel. Their are very seat available for hostel with lot of people requesting to get into the hostel. Hostelrs has to share room with someone with permanent problem of food and water is major issue in hostel. Hostel is not safe event with lot of fight and rights going in hostel. Generally hostel is noisy.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna

Relation and network between senior and junior may be good in some case but in most of the relation and network is very weak. You cannot rely on seniors for any help. This is rare scenario that they will help you.

Admission

I have entrance exam for admission which contains of question based on maths physics and chemistry. Questions are from basics to 12th class. Any jee aspirant should be good to clear this exam. Currently it is online based exam. Their are 150 queation in 150 minutes.

Faculty

Faculty is not good at all. Hardly anyone is having any knowkedge. They just get the job because of reservation and other politics but they are not worthy of teaching in such college. They completely rely on their notes and online content. They literally cannot speak with free hand.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

Likes

The overall environment here is great. Students coming from different backgrounds make us more capable of meeting new people who have different ideas and that makes things easier,apart from achieving technical greatness ,curtain clubs are here
These clubs gives opportunities to gain new skills and to showcase our existing skills, sports clubs are also present which will help improve skills in sports
Cultural clubs , technical clubs are also present here to aid in your interest

Placement Experience:

Upon reaching s7 students are invited for campus placement but they have to pass different criteria to become eligible for attending the interview, a minimum cgpa of 7.5 and academic skills a these are the basic requirements and an aptitude test will be given and in further selection these criteria are looked. I plan on pursuing a job after completing by btech. More than half the students in a batch are getting placed usually.

Likes

college provides nice venue good study environment
provide library facilities and lab facilities
provide internet facilities like wifi and average classrooms

It is so far from the main road a lot to walk

Placement Experience:

Students can get internships from First sem. Students become eligible from 7th sem for campus placement . The average package begins from 15000/- to most highest package of 25000/-. The percentage of students getting paced is 20-30%.I have been planiing to go to higher studies.

Campus, comparing from nearby college this college had good visual beauty may be because of the college been part 2-3 movies. Visually the college are too good with nature

Dislikes

The Placement is weak as there is no opportunity to get a proper core based job from what you studied mainly job opportunities come from call centres which doesnt require Btech to study. This personally felt too sad to be here to get placed in core.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As of the college comes under Ktu syllabus it has already has demerits of the university. Curriculum basically doesnot provide a realworld application uses. Just creates a knowledge on the course (and thats doubt) We need to courses outside the college to get the core jobs outside

The college provides a good atmosphere to truly get a job in the competetive world if we are willing to work for it.
They heavily monitor attendance to make sure that you take your classes so that you perform well in your exams
The facilities provided by the college are good as there are several labs and workshops for hands-on experience

Dislikes

The campus life can get boring and it feels like we are in a rat race.
Some teachers can be a bit apathetic towards the students.
The number events that encourage social interactions in not many

Placement Experience:

The students are elegible for campus placements from the 7th semester and almost all students get placements provided they don't have any subject yet to clear at the time of placement. There are several companies that visit the college for recruiting including but not limited to TCS, CTS,etc,.

The campus is a package pf greenery and the culteral events conducted there are good at the end
The faculties are good and maintain a decent teaching style
The sports activities are well maintained here

Dislikes

The hostel mess and the food is a bit not good from my opinion
The hostel doesn't have adequate wifi to accommodate the entire strength of students residing there

Yes the college is providing placement facilities and the College has its own placement and industrial relations wing that is said to study about the current industrial requirements and provide the adequate amount of training for the students

These companies provide placement for all the branches of the college. 90 percent of the students get placements. I prefer to go for higher studies after getting the degree.

Good learning environment with a good campus life

I choose Cochin University Of science and technology for Mtech Instrumentation Technician beacuse of its good reputation, affordable fees, and experienced faculty, and better focus on core technical subjects. I also got admission to Delhi University, but i prefer CUSAT because it was more affordable and better suited for instrumentation and automation studies. Life of CUSATian

I have only applied to CUSAT, we i was not able to get admission there i would choose to work in a company. It was just a try from my side, but it actually worked out. For MTech, GATE qualifiers can direclty get the admission without any other exams. They can also avail monthly stipent of around Rs 10000. Other exam for admission is DAT exam which is conducted by the respective department of the course. I have taken the DAT exam under the Department of Statistics , where this MTech Data Science and Analytics is present. The eligibility includes BTech or MSc. Cutoff is majorly based on the number of students writing the exams and the number of seats. So cutoffs can vary. Students are selected based on the DAT ranklist. Spot admission is conducted for the remaining seats. There is also a least chance for students who didnt write the DAT Exam can also get the admission at the 2nd or 3rd spot admissions....Read More

A look into inside of School of Management Studies, CUSAT

CAT/CMAT/KMAT any of the score is mandatory. Out of all applications recieved, the initial shortlisting will be done based on these score normalised. Around 500 students get shortlisted. Then GD and interview will be conducted. Based on that final rank list will be prepared. 70% weightage is for score of any management test. Amd remaining 30% weightage is for GD and PI together.
