Very famous and responsible college and DEPARTMENT-Jute and Fibre Technology.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is a technology course based on Jute & Fibre. Basically Textile Engineering. After B. Tech anyone can go for M. Tech or R&D sector and obviously for Jobs in textile sectors. And anyone can appear in GATE, Textile papers. And good scorers can take admission in IITs.

Very famous companies like Raymond, BombayDeings, Landmark, Aravind, Arati Cotten Mills, Joyshree Textiles and so on. And the internships provided by our college is very good and everyone gets chance for internship.

College Events

Fresher's Welcome Party, Senior-Junior meet. Whrere every year seniors give a welcome party for the newly admitted juniors for making strong bond between juniors and seniors. And ex students of the college come for a get together with juniors; current students of the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very Low, almost thirty two thousand s for four years. More on less four thousand for every semester. And if anyone has twf category or if their family income is very low then they will have to pay nearly six hundred rupees for every semester. In general the fees structure us very low.

Everyone can opt for any type of government and non government scholarships. And anyone can go for education loan.

All type of gender is equally treated and there is no indiscriminations. All type of students are equally treated. Ragging free campus. And all the seniors are very friendly. All the faculty members are very helpful and always try to coordinate with students.

Alumni network is very strong in this college and every year our college organize an event to meet with ex students.

Admission

I got admission through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. After having a well rank in WBJEE we have to gone through a counseling process. Generally WBJEE is conducted in the month of May and then the counselling process takes place within a month of examination.

The faculty members of our college are very helpful and always they try to coordinate with students. All the the faculty members have their industrial experience. All of the faculty members are very experienced. All the faculty members have depth knowledge of practicals.

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

Nothing specific just the campus attracted me Curriculum is preparing me for the real world approach and its doing good enough the academic pursuits is good Teachers should teach in a good way so that every student should understand Frequently the timing of exam is 3 hrs but sometimes it takes 1 hrs

The Techno Experience

Likes

Practical Exposure with hands on training is always good for personal growth
The laboratories were well equipped with state of the art instruments
Entrepreneurship was encouraged and it really helped us with designing future start ups.

Dislikes

Lack of scholarships for the needy is one thing that needed to be worked on.
There was a distinct lack of encouragement to pursue extracurricular activity.
Sometimes it felt like it would have helped if we had a mental health counsellor onboard with the department.

Placement Experience:

Techno India University has a strong campus placement. Several students got jobs during the last semester, and I am one of them. Some others choose to wait for better opportunities. Some joined good startups. The package was nominal as we were all freshers. After getting my degree, I planned to pursue corporate experience and then join a lab for my PhD.

Faculties are helpful and kind and the classroom environment is healthy
Classroom, labs and libraries have proper infrastructure
Certificates are provided for participating in conferences or extracurricular activities

Placement Experience:

Placement is provided in final year . Average package offered is 3 to 4 lpa . Paid internship is provided in 3rd year and the placement percentage is more or less ok. After complication i will either pursue Msc or look for a job.

In case of my couse everything is coverd but it would have been much better of they focus on practicals more rather than theory. If they make us aware of all the new technologies that are used in the industry.

Faculty is really good and helping they do help !
Labs are taken on time and is made clear to us very well

Dislikes

I disliked the fact that the rooms get too hot during sumer
There should have been one ac that could have turned on in classes during hot , except smart class room and auditorium
Nothing as much , some little stuffs that are everywhere nowadays in college

Exams are generally spaced well throughout the smemstwr allowing adequate time for preperation , how ever the frequenxy can sometimes be overwhelming particulary during peak study periods , but the diffulty level isnt that concerning and they are easy

Adamas university : Path of success

Placement Experience:

The University Provides Placements options for the students from the 3rd Semester onwards. For the Department of Geography Companies like - GeoDesign and Research PVT. Limited, Wipro, Acadecraft Pvt limited, Cactus etc. are there as recruiters with an average package of 3 LPA. University takes a target to 100 % placement among then almost 60% are placed and rest of the students mainly go to the research field.

Since the syllabus is quite up to date, students learn a lot and are way ahead of their age group students. Most of the students qualify for placements with attractive packages. The university also encourages internships that carry credits in their academic report.

Perfect campus for economics student

Admission process are very simple. Generally entrance exam was conducted for admission but I took admission just after COVID so I didn't give any entrance exam. But cutt off was very high. At least 70 percent marks in graduation are mandatory to take admission in this university on the merit basis. Application form are generally found on University official website in August.
