Remarks

There ain't any bad remarks but there can be free developments made because the result website server is very slow.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The subject which I took is basically practical oriented and we have 3 Curriculum Assessments and mostly 2 of them would be practical. Since it's journalism we can explore different parts of it like photography, writing, proofreading, radio, travel and newspaper/magazine production and making. We were taken to SIGA to see the making procedure of magazines and books. We don't have campus but we can opt to go do internships in the field of choice that will help in placements.

Placement Experience

2.5

We have a placement cell where the organisations intend to interview students and most of the companies have a tie up with college so that every year certain amount of students can be hired. The media based organisation last visited was Blacksheep, an YouTube channel.

College Events

2.5

We have an annual department event called Mediascape conducted every year. We also have Public relations campaign. Celebrations like Pongal and Christmas would be major. We also celebrate onam occasionally. Other than that we have small sessions and workshops.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is actually affordable compared to any other institution in and around Chennai. It's is bit outer but has good number of students. The transactions are online no cash pay and the fees payment is transparent. The admission is 100% based on marks and available and there can be nothing done in order to gain admission.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't had any scholarship but people who wanted can get it. They fees will be less and afternoon lunch will be provided free of cost. The application for that will be available in the office.

Campus Life

4.5

My college has vast amount of ethnicity. We also have many foreign students who adapted the culture and living standards. There are 0 chance of racism and gender inequality in our college. Religion was never an issue and mostly people dont even talk about religion here.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

No I haven't in hostel since am a day scholar. For women 3 person in a room and we have 3 hostels for women. Men its 3 hostel one person in a room. There are many places outside to stay and they are affordable. It's based on the comfort of the students and college makes sure they have a guardian nearby incase of emergency. We have a free clinic for hostel students.

Alumni/Alumna

They help us by attending our events and explain about their job life. They also helped us with assignments.

Admission

I was interested in writing. That time I had no idea about the course. After searches I found this college. It's a 365 acres college in the middle of nowhere and 15 minutes from my home. My mother studied there too. I was bit hesitant because of the co-education factor but later I decided to give it a go. I applied online later my name was in the list. Within days I got my ID card.

Faculty

3.5

We basically have 5 staffs each one of them are expertise in various fields. They also help us bring in experts of our field to take classes. Each of the faculty have knowledge about the subject they handle. The subjects and classes will be divided among them to teach us both practical and theoretical part of every subject we had. We also had sessions, events and workshops related to our course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well-structured and covers both theoretical and practical aspects. It provides a strong foundation for higher studies and career opportunities. Internal assessments and semester exams are conducted regularly, with a fair marking system. More industry exposure, internships, and skill-based training would further enhance students' learning experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

Madras School of Economics - [MSE], Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2024(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.
