Remarks

One thing they have done right is - abolish bullying.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

There are 4 sems. GPA is calculated per semester wise and then cumulated. The course is not relevant as per me. Obsolete studies. Pathetic curriculum - wasting students time in useless cramming, and stupid projects. Teachers are illiterate. To be a better professional no student should leave their life on college, learn from online MOOCs instead.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are good though. Google, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft. I don't know much about their recruitment process, but from what i have heard is that they do ask some good questions, but not exceptional most of the times. Like difficult book level questions, but not beyond. Almost 80% students get placed from my courses. No internship taken yet.

College Events

4

There are 3-4 fests held in an year. The biggest of all is ENGI. Engi fest is so big, so awesome, and so incredible; i mean you ask any Engineering student in the whole Delhi state and almost 80% will recognise it. Around 10,000 students gathering from various states. Big celebs with huge fan following from the age group of students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible (not on the extreme sides of both ends, somewhere in the middle). Around 7.6 lakhs for the entire program of 4 years. Only bank transfers and bank notes (like cheques, demand drafts, etc.) are accepted. No hidden charges or over the head expenses. Pretty transparent. They charge us on yearly basis.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I guess there aren't many scholarship programs in india. I mean, i haven't met anyone in my year who has availed any scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is pretty fun. Chill. Jokes. Play. Fun. Around 2:1, boys:girls ratio. Yes there are various clubs which forms the part of extracurricular activities, and they are mostly build by student teams themselves. That's a new and good experience. Clubs on English speaking, coding, drama acting, etc. Compititions are as such not much formalised, so everyone take them lightly.

Hostel Facilities

4

No, I haven't opted for hostel room. But from what I have seen is that they aren't in good shape at all. Most of them are small with poor ceilings. The canteen (mess) food is also pathetic in taste and quality. Many of my friends have fallen sick off mess food.

Alumni/Alumna

We haven't got any chance till now to have words with alumni. Though senior students are pretty helpful. No bullying. Instead some of them are organising free lectures from them as they believe that leaving our future in the hands of professors would result poor life afterwards.

Admission

Based on our IIT-JEE scores we get alloted in colleges as per our ranks. Admission process was simple - some form filings and depositing Admission fees (sort of EMD) to book seats so that other cannot take it. Computer Science has great scope in future. The college was near home and the best I could get as per my marks.

Faculty

1

Poor. The faculties are stupid and illiterate. Average course lectures - 25, but that doesn't matter. It is upto teacher, he may finish them in 5 or he may take upto 40, his choice. Age - around 45. Mostly post graduate from top to bottom. Deen being MBA as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good. I do not feel very pressure. The course curriculum is design by GGSIPU. There is not spefific reason to choose to this course. It was my childhood dream to become computer engineer. I cant say that the curriculum prepares for real world applications because I am just second year students. The exam conducted on semester basis and its not very difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

I would not suggest On Campus placement for this college as the placement cell is not very good here. However one can score a great package if they develop skills in the field of chemical engineering.
