There is both good and bad things about my college. The college are operational, thats why we get lots of benefits, experience we had is imensely good. As where there is good, there also has to be a bad thing, the infrastructures are urgently needed to repair and reconstruct in many areas, its still lack the look of what its like being the only central university of the state. The placement of the students needs to be higher and also the faculty members. because we need more young and updated lecturers through the learning process.
The course Curriculum and Exam Structure are quite good. It is research-driven to say the department which I was admitted were used to conduct field survey usually twice in each semester of those two years as the course are completed with four semesters. It helps alot for future reference and the experience is of great value.
There is no such internships in our department. 100% of students are placed every year. The institution prepared for the placement by taking serious steps. They would provide coaching for the same and also provided question bank for the students to refer.
Lots of events are hold every year, such as conference, sports, University week, workshop etc. It gathers all the students not only to learn but also to impart knowledge of many importance beneficial for its career. In every kind of event, the officers from different field are invited as chief guest. They are asked to give speech which can be very helpful for the students. All this events encourage and lifted the students spirit to learn, to live and to lead a good life.
The fees structure are feasible. My program fees was around 10, 000 a year, not to mention about the mess and expenditure. The mode of payments are provided both in cash and debit / credit card. The fee- break down was transparency, bribe are not accepted at all. No charge are taken to secure an admission.
The college offered scholarships to students every year, If we have the certificate of graduation and the PG's 1st semester certificate, it is eligible for the same. The scholarships are sanction according to its category. For minority, the students union holding the minority group will take all kinds of trouble to make avail the scholarships, so we had to submit to them. For others group too, they had their own terms regarding the submission of scholarship forms. The average sum which was provided per year was around 18, 000.
As of gender ratio, not much insignificant were seen. It is diversified. Male and female can be seen quite competitive, although male seems to outnumber female at some point. Different groups of culture, religion, race and societies gather together to learn and prosper.
I opted for hostel. Hostel rooms are convenient, two persons are allotted for each room. There are around 7 girls hostels inside the campus. Some of them are highly appreciated, few still needs to be upgraded. the average rentals could be around 12, 000 for half a year. The facilities given by the hostel has to be more better than what it is. The kitchen needs to be more cleaner, wifi services still need to access in every hostels, and also the rooms are needed to be bigger.
There's few whom I used to contact when I need a guide in the area of field survey or report. They are very beneficial. Those that we can't get from lecturers, the senior helps alot to understand things more better and easier. The seniors are helpfull in so many areas, they can't be overlook in the process of learning.
I opt this course because I think it is necessary for my career. This institution is the apex body of education in the state and is the only central govt. run college and so I chose it. I got through entrance which is transparency to me, admission process are quite fair and convenient and the dates provided are accurate, although sometimes we have to run here and there due to distance within the campus.
Increase of faculty membes are still needed, the demand for it are not acquired although petition regarding this are repeatedly given. There are at least four of them in my department. One of them holds JRF (Junior research fellowship) certification. While three of them cross the age of 50, one of them could be around 30. The teaching profession they impart meet the needs of the students, but at some point its almost outdated and it will be in the long run.
The admission procedure for the course in this college is to clear the entrance exam of NEET. Any candidate who has completed his 10+2 from a recognized board in science stream can apply for the entrance exam and after getting a good rank he can apply for the admission.
My college has a Placement and training cell to provide opportunities to the students. Companies like L&T Infotech, IBM, Wipro, Infosys, L&T Ecc, Musigma, Huwaei, Kec International, Carbon Software Solution & AAA, Amdocs, Mphasis, HCL TSS, Power Grid Co.Pvt.Ltd and many more. The highest package provided to a student is 11.00 LPA and Average Package is 5.5 LPA.
After my 10+2, I appeared for JEE. I got qualified for Mains with a really good score which was around 65%. unfortunately my Advanced scores weren't that great. Hence after online counselling, I was allotted NIT Imphal.
There are immense placement opportunities. Every year almost 80% of the students get placed in top companies with a really high pay. You also have good internship opportunities in top companies which give you a good stipend as well.
National Institute of Technology, Imphal for my Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] Computer Science and Engineering program has given me a lifetime experience and the one that can never be forgotten. Be the faculty, the management or the seniors everyone has taught many unknown things.
Good, good and relly good for learning in various forms.
The minimum age to join this course is above 17 years. A candidate must have passed 10+2 examination or any other equivalent examination recognised by the University and In order to be complete the eligibility for admission to any of the undergraduate programmes of three years or four years duration. The candidate has to pass the qualifying entrance and his name should be in the merit list.
The placement is an integral part of any university. My university provides a placement cell. It will function as a link between various industries, sports clubs, sports organizations, sports leagues, government and non-govt organizations, schools, universities and create opportunities for internships and placements of the students. Placement cell in our college is very active, provides additional training on advanced sports technics by experts
College management is very poor. As NIT MANIPUR is a new NIT, we faced a lot of issues regarding faculties, hostel, academics, transportation, placement drives, etc. For daily classes we have to go different locations on different days depending on the subject we had in that particular day. In brief, we had face lot of difficulties during my B Tech journey of 4 years.
There is some sadness about the college especially the infrastructure. There are some departments that are not well enough in the infrastucture of the class room.We have been using the broken building which is dangerious in the time of rainy season and earthquak time which needs an immidiate repairing.we need more toilet also.We also have a shortage of drinking water also.Beside this, smart class also needed.
No placements over here but teachers recommend us in a good research institute for project work after completion of m.f.sc. most of the students got their state jobs.
Yes, we went to Mumbai college for a poster presentation. The college gave us our ticket price.
