Remarks
I would rate the college good in almost all aspects.There is lot of effort behind all activities carried out.Discipline is given first preference ar KEC. This is something the principal of the college often says and its true at KEC. One of the top and good colleges in TN.
Entrance Preview
Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Examination (HSE). With good scored in Major subjects like mathematics, physics, chemistry and computer science you can get easily in to KEC. I preferred Machatronics out of my interest.
Internships Opportunities
Students out of their own interest get many internship and industrial projects by their own. The college also invites many new companies to the campus every year for offering internships to the students. There is a wonderful opportunity for talent at KEC. it is in the hands of the students to make use of it. The average stipend offered is around 8 to 10 K INR p.m.
Placement Experience
Every year many top companies visit the Campus of KEC. Renowned ones are Mu SIGMA, Robert Bosch, CTS, WIPRO, Accenture, TITAN, Strategic Automation, Maveric Automation and the list goes on.The average CTC offered is 3L INR p.a
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is very much feasible. The college also supports and honors students every year for their performance with scholarships. I hardly spent around 2.8 Lakh INR for all 4 years. this is including hostel and mess fee. I got scholarship for all four years.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college is run by KVIT trust. Every year the students are supported financially through many scholarship schemes. I was very lucky that i got scholarship in all four years.
Campus Life
The college supports lot of co curricular and extra curricular activities.there are lot of internal club activities in the college like Robotics club, SAE club, Aeromodelling club, Rotract club, Entrepreneurship management and development club, Women development club and more. They are all run by students and managed by staffs. The clubs function really good and bring out talent in students through various activities.There are also activities like NCC, NSS, etc,. which is very much active in social development in and around KEC zone.
Hostel Facilities
One of the best you can get in top colleges in TN at affordable fee. There are single and various levels of sharing rooms also available the hostel is very clean and the maintance is quiet good. There is also a good environment created to study. Lot of plants and trees are available in hostels and all over the campus. thats really good and positive note. How ever there was also a little of pest problems. I would rate the problem to 3 in a scale of 10. I would recommend to take a hostel in KEC than to be in a PG outside the campus.
Alumni/Alumna
There is very good relation with all seniors and aluminies, The college has a good network with all the aluminies. often technical and other seminars are conducted with aluminies. The college also brings all aluminies after a gap of 10 years. thats really good i would say.
Exam Structure
It was perfectly balanced i would say. There was no too much stress or less attention. The labs are very vast and fully equipped. The students can use all equipments for their knowledge development even out of the syllabus.
Faculty
Well trained and equipped faculty. Many Doctorates are there to guide the students in their choice of field and projects. Many extra curricular classes are handled by the faculty at KEC for the benefit of students.
