Remarks

I want to become architecture so I looked for the best college in UTTAR PRADESH. I would have moved to other state Colleges too but I wanted a good college plus which is near to my hometown plus I can utilise U.P government educational policies and also which gives me connectivity to further work in cities. The admission process was very easy there were teachers to guide. The best part was that the teacher was more focused on practical knowledge .we were always taught to apply theoretical knowledge to practice. If I talk about the environment to which most of the parents and students are more worried, there is no ragging, bullying thing seniors are very cooperative. The department has a very healthy bond I would really suggest GLA as it give exposure to students to come up with there though the process.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Becoming a good Architecture was a dream. I stepped into reality after joining GLA Mathur as normal students I was a happy bit of worried about faculties and students too. All worries of mine were disappeared after the first lecture. The faculty are very supportive you can discuss anything with them seniors are really very helpful. You can for sure get a homely feeling in the department.

Internships Opportunities

5

Can say lucky in terms of internship as our internship are paid we have a 6-month internship in the third yr and the last year internship. College does offer internship but students are free to join according to there wish and comfort. College do support in students decisions. I was offered as in interior architect and my workplace was in Delhi with monthly internship stipend of 8k working was of 4 hrs a day with Saturday and Sunday off.

Placement Experience

4.5

There is no such thing called placements in the field of architecture. An individual is free to apply in studios and firms on basis of their portfolios (which consists of a presentation of works done during academics, competitions and various other freelancing projects) but yes we have internship through college where we can build up a platform for future jobs.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees were constant throughout the year, more of the trip is sponsored by the college itself. I have received OBC Scholarship and my friends have received a scholarship on bases of merit. The college has provided us with an internship in 3yr where we earned a good salary we are offered to work in the same after completion of the course.

Campus Life

5

Best campus life is of architecture our work is more inspired by nature so we have more practical classes where we can take breaks accordingly. When we talk about annual fest the overall work is done under our department supervision and also our department is invited is ever year NASA fest to showcase our talents along with that we get great exposure to other college work.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There are 2 seater 3 seater room I was in 2 seater room. Good space, proper ventilation, the mess was organised breakfast at 8-9 lunch 12-2 evening breakfast at 5-6 dinner at 8-9:30 pm. Medical facilities 24/7.

Interview Experience

5

We don't have Group discuss as others have we have to present our work what we have done throughout the year and on bases of it, we are selected.

No reason at all. Faculty was nice at first but not anymore. The only good thing maybe it has big gardens. But nothing else at all. Very partial. Attendance is a burden here.

Placement Experience:

All the seniors are well placed in architecture firms across India. Many of them have settled abroad in Dubai and USA. Many are pursuing masters and PhD in IITs and foreign universities. Seniors are getting paid well starting from 40k/month as beginners and up to 1.5 lakhs/month for experienced architects.

Beginning was good faculty was amazing in the recent years but the present scenario is horrible please do not send your ward to this college or any college associated with U.P.T.U, and the director is new jailer these days, seems as it is a college rather than an architecture college.
