Remarks

Overall a best place to enjoy and learn, but you should know to manage your time. Best place far from the city so less interruptions of an urban life. If you have a strong will to do they have a path for you, but take care of your attendance where the college will calculate your worth to help. Pros can take over the Cons. of this college. Bus services available till far off the city. So commuting is never a issue.

Entrance Preview

I had scored a rank of 3266 in DCET applied for many top college but finally stuck up with this so called top college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Curriculum to say is the only thing here they focus on, not extra curriculum. But the motto is not to learn but to score that's how they value students. Students who are into extra curriculars are always critisized in class rooms. Only people who have won in an University level tournament are the extra curricular performers, not the one who host fest or who win an event in other college fest. Attendance is always a bottle neck for students.

Internships Opportunities

I still have no idea about how many companies visit. I have seen a very few companies like TCS, Infosys, etc but most probably they are IT companies/BPO. So far i've never come across an core electrical company in campus. May be the placement office might be working on it online. So thats how they guarantee placements.

Placement Experience

2.5

Well still people are roaming without jobs but a few have settled most of them are suffering in hectic jobs. Still most of them here are not able to understand the concepts of engineering. The core reason is to the academic faculties. They never insisted on learning rather they exaggerate on scoring.

College Events

4

Only event celebrated here is 'SWAYAM' for which organizers have a very bad time. Faculties not supporting them, events organised are restriced/banned, everytime fest bei8ng held on even saturdays which is a holiday. So most of the nerds will be on leave which leaves the fest less enthusiastic without audience. Hosted events have very few contestants mostly from the team of organizers which is very bad feel. Sports organized only after a big request or better scores in internals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was ok while i joined. Now the academic fee is bit high since the college is coming up with new infrastructure & equipments. One bad thing is the blue books you purchase for internals & lab observations & Record note books needs to be purchased only from college stores else they are not accepted. But thats worth, on the other hand class lords will not permit you to go & pay the exam fee/college fee in their hour you have to pay whenever you are free. but the class starts at 8am & shuts at 4, while the accountant will be there for only 30 mins extra after his working hour. So definitely late fee is applicable.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah they offer scholarship for all once you fill up the form the amount you receive will depend on how good your score is. The waiting time for approval and all the procedures will faint you before you complete. Some times useless waiting for signatures some unnecessary tortures for verification but they have paid a good amount.

Campus Life

3.5

To be precise alpha is greater than gamma, yes guys are densely populated than girls. But that never made any difference or categorize among students. But lecturers are a bit old fashioned who always arrange a separate seating for two genders. There has been always a cat quarrel between people from different regions of earth but they never had a rivalry. Sports are conducted only after a huge fights/arguments over faculties. But after hosting its a big head ache to finish have to cross lot of hurdles. Once i joined a robotic event was conducted for the first time which had a very few participants, but late felt like not worth conducting they have organize personal development program which I found was the best thing that is relly required for the students of our era. It is the best part of my learning.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I do not stay at hostel but still on a review from my classmates who stay there have said that warden is a devil. Food is a mess, no i dint mean to say they have food in hostel mess but FOOD IS A MESS yeah people share their bed and toilets are common but the timings for in and out is ok for boys. For boys they have to in the hostel before 9pm or they can start out after 6am. But for girls you cannot go out before 6am and should always be back before 6pm This is a hurdle for enjoyment but rules are hectic. Overall worth for what we pay.

Alumni/Alumna

All the college seniors I have been friend with are just sport person who are a competitors now from other college. Yes they help lending books, teach short cuts for learning, but you have to be good kin to them to make all this happen. Coming to college alumni they are less often in contact with students. Once in a year they come to class have a private conversation with students to ask about their experiences with staffs and also development that needs to be done for the betterment of learning. So that was quite cool.

Exam Structure

Exams are conducted only as ordered by the university/board. Yeah there's no option/adjustment for cheating, but still people do. Few teachers want their wards to pas/score so they help, friendly lecturers are like helping hands until they are safe. Lab always has cheating one who does on his own is most tortured while one who pays is intellect. Non teaching staffs are friend in need.

Faculty

2

Not all faculty are excellent. Yeah few are expert & renowned in engineering but some are just teaching, some dont even have the idea what they teach. We all might have seen this sort of situation where teacher came to class & one nerd asks a doubt but the teach lord will postpone the answer to the next visit & he will focus on completing what he had planned to, i mean prepared to. This kinda teachers are now a days increasing.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs
