Remarks

It is a college of national importance and promises to provide a better future. Nit Raipur is also close to my residence that is nagpur. It is central India's biggest college and a lot of big fests take place. Also, it gives a lot of opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus is up to the mark and a little less but enough industrial exploser is given. The faculties are quite young and not exactly what you consider the best but they give their best whenever you need them

College Events

Nit Raipur organises central India's largest tech festivals and cultural events. The college organizes a lot of activities and they are really big and a lot of people take part in it. Either in organising or just fun.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is a little small but sports facilities are really good. Wifi is provided and library is pretty nice. Labs are well equipped. The sports ground is a little small and also not enough to accommodate a lot of sports.

Nit Raipur experience

Likes

Hostel fee which was pretty good than expected
The internships providing to our seniors
The live experiences and teaching techniques and guidance

Dislikes

Less availability of seats for hostel is a bad thing
The food was pretty bad than I expected there
The language which they don't use English mostly but Hindi which will be difficult for others

Placement Experience:

The campus placement will be given for 50-60% talking about my course architecture everyone will be given job by the way guided by my faculty but architect salary would be less compared to the other courses

Likes

The college is really affordable and appreciable for the this fees .
faculties of my department are Architects and also done their masters . Faculties for subject like building materials and structure are cilvil engineers. They also take us to the site for analysis.
Each classroom has a central A.C. and classrs are so big and comfortable.

Dislikes

75 % attendance is compulsory for appearing in Final.exams.
Uniform is compulsory for entering the college.
Only faculties and staff can use the lift and students have to use stairs.

Placement Experience:

From 9th semester in Architecture students become eligible for campus selection . Average package of last year was 437000 for b.tech and 530000 for Mba and each department had their multipal placement. I had also applied for Gitam college in vizag and got selected but ranking of that college was low but fees was very high.

Architecture Department of NIT Hamirpur

Likes

The campus is very beautiful full of greenery and peace.
The faculy is very experienced and supportive. In classrooms there are screens for teaching.
The college has so many clubs like Music, Dance, Bhangra, Nati, Departmental Technical Clubs, Finance, Photography, PR, etc to enhance talent.

Dislikes

Campus is in hills so walking can be a little tiring.
Very less Educational trips organised by department.
Less on Site working experience and more theoritical.

Placement Experience:

The placement of Architecture Department NIT Hamirpur for 2024 passout batch was 100% with highest package of 12LPA. The average package in around 6LPA. Many Profound companies like L&T, M Moser, V Construct, Sanrachna, Livspace, etc visits.

NIT Raipur - A perspective

Likes

Growing NIT, providing higher opportunities
Helpful Faculty members and support staff
Connected to different leisure spaces to chill with friends

Dislikes

Small Campus, probably the smallest in all NITs
Needs Improvement in Overall Infrastructure
Placement Scenario can be better but could see some improvement alreadt

Placement Experience:

As mentioned earlier, in Architecture department, on campus placement opportunities are lesser. But off campus opportunities are grabed by students. Few private companies like LnT, Techture, Livspace and PSUs like EIL, Mecon do offer placements Many times the huge alumni network also supports in the placement. Generally students opt of Jr Architect or interior designer role but some students also switch streams for Graphic Design, UI - UX, 3D visualiser etc. Some students opt for masters in architecture, planning, design or management also. They go for entrance exams like GATE, CEED, CAT etc

Likes

The college is good in its structure and in its site plan
The college is situated in the main city
Large area is free and all those free spaces are filled with trees

Dislikes

Less hostel because of that less students will only get hostel
Less academic programs and functions in the college
The building structure is old and toilets are bad

Placement Experience:

The college used to give good placements for the students. It is baced on the course and branches. B tech students used get good placements but b atch students are less. In b tech almost 40 %of the students will get high packages

Remarks:

It is good but not the best college to get in. Obviously its government college so one cannot expect that much form it. But you can still enjoy here.

Remarks:

Its a foundation university so it will take time to improve but the facilities we are getting here are not at satisfaction level but quiet enough as collage is doing a lot to provide us facilities. rules and regulations are strict so management is also very good in all aspects.

i took this collage because there not good options other than NIT. and other nits are too far away from my hometown.also i was influenced by teachers in this nit. An Homestate Girl in NIT Raipur

Honestly As A Girl , My Parents did'nt Allowed me to Leave my state . Which is very disappointment for me but it is okay They care about me ,so that nothing happen to me.
