Likes
- There is a café named "Pai chai" which is very amazing and lots of people hangout there for its great Cup of tea.
- there are so many good staff and teachers for us to teach. most of them graduated from NITs/IITs and even from IIMs.
Dislikes
- There is too less hostels for us. especially for those who are from other states.
- Teachers give too much assignment work. very hard to deal with.
Course Curriculum Overview
I will rate my course very high and it is very relevant on forensic analysis and crime investigations. the course is very comprehensive and vast. the specific aspect of my life that influenced me into taking Biotechnology as my subject is that it is used as a tool for crime investigations. it has many real world applications like Crime investigation etc. teaching mathods can be improved by teaching Us about how we use our knowledge for real world crime solvings.
Placement Experience
The placement of our college pretty good for the higher branch like Cse , Ece , IT but for lower branches like ours is very low Only 5-10 students got placed last year from biotech . Whereas the placement percentage of Cse is around 90% . The highest package offered was 56 LPA , that is told us in Induction Program.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly I'm paying 170000 ? per year including security, library and other charges (it is divided into two parts for each sem). as for scholarship there are two options: NSP, FFE both of which provide upto 80-100% of scholarships based on student's performance and other factors. for st, sc there is no tuition fees. they just have to pay for hostel and other Fees.
Campus Life
overall experience in NIT raipur's campus life is great it has so much sports clubs, gyms and other physical activities to offer. there are so many events organized in campus including Shruti annual function, Rudra dance club,and many celebrities come there to perform.
Admission
i took this collage because there not good options other than NIT. and other nits are too far away from my hometown.also i was influenced by teachers in this nit. I also applied to NIT bhopal, and NIT warangal but had no luck with them. i wasn't rejected from any other collage but i was not applicable as i scored very low for there cutoff. admission process is very simple i just had to submit my documents to the collage and i got the seat in best collage my State had to offer.
Faculty
the faculty is very nice and helpful. our course is of 4 years each year divided into 2 semesters (total 8 sems). and in every sem there are 5 subjects we need to study. faculty to student ratio is around 1:20. The faculty i liked is mr. mukul sir who is our mathematics teacher. he halps us out alot. the faculty i didnot like is Mr. anita who is ab teacher for biology, she shouts at us alot. the exams are very hard, as expected from NITs.
Night Life
Night life in NIT raipur's campus is really great as it is located near City and few Km away from AIIMs raipur. there is a gym which is open 24/7 for both girls and boys. Library is open only at Academic time (from 8am to 5pm). public areas include Central park and Pai chai cafe. where lots of peoples hang out with there friends. both inside and Outside is veru safe as inside is protected by guards of here and outside is protected by Police of Raipur.
