Overall personality development, Placements,Academics, Reseqrch and development.Guest lectures and Other career development programs. The professors and the curriculum which provides an in-depth knowledge of the all the subjects. Cafeteria approach.

Course Curriculum Overview

It keeps changing and updated every year. We are provided industrial visits and various guest lectures are organised to help us get a better understanding of the real life work situations. The professors use case studies and real life scenarios to teach.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 420000 per year

Placement Experience

They are great.I am a placement coordinator and the companies on board are amazing.We have companies like KPMG,PWC,Credit Suisse on board. The placements are partially student handled thus an individual gets to build connections and contacts early into the career.

College Events

We have clubs and societies which are completely student handled. They organise various events to keep the students involved. There is a college fest held every year which is also completely handled by the students.All these things really help an individual to explore various new activites.We get to experience sponsorship,marketing, making and organizing events.

A perfect blend of learning and industry exposure.

Likes

The faculty is extremely experienced and provides valuable industry perspective.
The campus is modern and equipped with smart classrooms, media, labs, studios and an excellent library.
The placement cell is very helpful and active, getting students placed with firm.

Dislikes

The hostel is not good so providing variety in food.
sometimes coordination between department can be smoother.
The course is a bit on the expensive side when it comes to fees.

Best College with Loving Memories

Admission:

The admission process is easy in my college. Students do not have to appear for any Entrance examination. For Taking admission in B.M.S course, students should get minimum45% marks and reserved category students should get 40% marks in Xll Standard.

I chose Symbiosis because it offered International Business which is of my keen interest. When I contacted other colleges and enquired about this course, they said they don't have this course or some said "we're not sure". I mean how can they be not sure of their own curriculum? And I applied only to SYMBIOSIS. Now I'm in my final year and dual specializing in International Business and Marketing. For the admission process, firstly fill the application form and then they'll also conduct a mock test when main entrance exam is around a month away or smtg. And then Symbiosis Entrance EXAM (SET EXAM) happens. After qualifying that,the student is shortlisted to WAT (written assessment test). It's like an essay writing test, you will be given a topic and 20mins of time. Lastly it's the PI (personal interview) and then merit list or not depends on student performance....Read More

SCMS - genius ambition, complicated execution

Admission is through a national level entrance examination called SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test). It was conducted in online-proctored mode due to COVID in 2020. It tests candidates on 4 subjects - Mathematics, General Knowledge, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning. The marks for this entrance is 75, followed by a shortlist for the WAT and PI. Qualifying all three rounds ensures admission. Eligibility is passing Class 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks for general candidates and a minimum of 45% marks for reserved category candidate from any recognized board. Application form can be found on the official website of SET - www.set-test.org Application fees is ?1750. The entrance test is in MCQ and is easy to moderate. WAT (Written Ability Test) Round is also computer-based and requires candidates to write about a topic in 30 min.
