Remarks

I was always interested in research and the field of Biotechnology was the best for me. I chose this College because it is best govt. college of Odisha and it had this subject in it's course curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus was updated just after we started our first semester classes. The previous syllabus had Maths as a subject in it but the subject is removed from the syllabus now. The faculties are pretty good. As Biotechnology is a multi-disciplinary subject, lecturers of Zoology and Botany department usually teach us the core subjects.

Class Size: 26Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Placement Experience

As we are in the first year,we are yet to know more about the placements and job opportunity facilities of our college. Considering the opinion of our seniors, being a graduate of one of the best government colleges is a privilege for which we will be placed easily in Biotech companies.

College Events

Campus life here is awesome. A student can involve in lots of extracurricular activities by participating in various competitions held in the college campus. We also get circulars for various events and competitions held outside the campus where we represent our college.

The campus infrastructure of the college is pretty much good but old. It has a huge campus having attractive entrance with an idol of Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar" on whose name the college is based on within a small park.

Teachers are cooperative. If you have any doubt you could ask the respective teacher freely.
Have proper system. Everything done on time.
Campus is good and available all most all facilities.

Dislikes

May be the protest for exam unnecessarily

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate 5 out of 5 to this course curriculum in terms of relevance and Comolrehesiveness. As most of the student know there are 2 semester in a year and also 2 mid semesters. I think the difficulty level depend on student.

Ravenshaw is the best

Likes

Different types of sports available and support of staff
Big playground with long stage where all pogramm happens
Kanika library and e resource which provide us all necessary books

Dislikes

I dislike interfere of politics in college
Absence of students in class room which makes teachers uncomfortable
Less area of University campus for future development

Placement Experience:

I don't know more about how placement season in ravenshaw. But mu friend study in BBA department ,he said in our college 80% of students get placement. They get avarage 16 lakh per annum salary. Our university alumni are very strong and they Collab with various big companies.

Likes

Our college has really good faculty who have really high expertise in their own subjects
It has a lot of facilities and amenities
The college has labs which provide proper practical experience

Dislikes

The infrastructure could be improved and made more better
Could have better opportunities for the future
The sports facilities also could be improved

Students become eligible in 4th year for campus placement Multiple Ngos and agricultural companies make offers 80% students get placements After getting degree i plan to get higher studies and also prepare for competitive exams like oas

Likes

availability of teachers in campus all the time.
superintendents and wardens available all the time for problems.
vikash hospital available near the campus for any emergencies.

Dislikes

extremely bad MESS FOOD and no better alternatives.
no outing allowed and no food is allowed from outside

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements from the 5-6th semester. average packages availed by students range from 225000 to 300000 per year. around 10% of students get placed. I personally plan to pursue a postgraduate degree and then a doctoral degree.
