Remarks

The institution provides technical based knowledge and more value is given to practical than theory. It also provides skill based knowledge and it makes us ready to face problems when u go to work in industry.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Yes the syllabus is up to date. Question pattern is also changed having well-maintained balance between objective, theoretical and numerical questions. Internal exam are done to check regular progress in studies. Well equipped and maintained lab, having well qualified lab assistant to guide in practical.

Class Size: 61Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

It's good. A number of companies visit to our college for placement. IIT Gandhinagar takes 1 or 2 student into Mtech program without gate in metallurgy department. TCS used to come for on campus placement. TCS was our major recruiter. Most of ETC and CS student used to get placed in TCS. Other recruiters like TATA BSL, TRP, VEDANTA, EXCEL CORP, etc

College Events

4.5

We have a lot of event. The annual techno cultural festival Horizon is well famous among all colleges in Odisha for its event. Each branch have their individual branch fest. We organised different sports events, fun fair, movie night, etc. We got sponsorship like naming NALCO, MCL and many more

Fees and Financial Aid

A lot of scholarship is available. Student can choose any one of them. Student need to fulfill the required criteria to apply. Then when college authority declare to submit form for application of scholarship students need to submit their application in proper format. The administrative office staff are really good they will do their best so that student can get scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

The old building is really beautiful. It's centre of attraction is the dome. New building is ready and classes and lab of BTech students are taken in new college building. Entire campus building has excellent WiFi connection. Have separate hostel for diploma and BTech students, having different hostel for different year student. Library is well maintained n have varieties of book and good internet connection

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are good. Well maintained. Food quality is best in 1st and 4th year. A room is max shared between 4 people. In 3rd yr they can choose hostel having room of 2 beds. In final year they can choose hostel having single bed room. Menu is decided as per mess secretary elected by students. Grand feast is held every semester.

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Welcome to IGIT

I chose this college for this particular branch . Electrical engineering is a very respected branch in our college as many industries are built near this area which take students from campus selections. And most students prefer electrical engineering in our college than any other branch because it provides wide range of job opportunities as it has the best experienced faculties and effective equipments for laboratory practicals. As it is a core branch students can opt for both core as well as non- core jobs . Students are equally prepared for IT jobs being in electrical branch . Therefore our strength is the most compared to other branches . Although girls to boys ratio is very less . Therefore it makes easier for girls to get placed in this branch ....Read More

I G.I.T Sarang , Dhenkanal Full college review

I choose this college I.G.I.T Sarang because of his good name and impression in odisha and also it's a long historic college. One of my relatives also recommended it to me as He also studied from this college. It is a government engineering college which makes its courses affordable for everyone and it also selects you on your entrance exam performance like J.E.E Mains and OJEE exam. I knew from my Jee mains marks that I was unable for nits and IITs .Then I applied in other govt . Engineering colleges like C.E.T and Burla Engineering college and also in some private universities like KIIT university, Silicon university and Iter engineering college. I didn't get rejection from any college but I was offered Metallurgy Engineering course and Civil Engineering course in other govt. College like C.E.T and Burla Engineering college that's why I rejected them. I was able to get admission in all private universities from my Jee mains marks but at that time of admission financial condition of my family were not very good as my mother suffering from cancer at that time . The fees of this colleges are pretty high so I decided to not take admission in them due to my financial problems. The admission process to our college is pretty simple. After OJEE counselling If you are selected in this college , you should check for the dates of admission and submitting documents. First you have to pay 10000 for confirmation of your seat and then you can get admission in the college in respective date . You should gather all your documents mentioned by them and visit the college on the mentioned date to get admission. The admission process is very simple and the teacher will help you and you don't have to worry about anything. JEE Mains is the exam accepted by our college for getting admission in b.tech courses and you can also apply from Special OJEE exam score . These two exams are preferred by the college and also the students....Read More
