Remarks

It is one of the best universities in India with Eminem status. The campus very clean and filled with greenery. It is Asia's largest residential campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

For Graduation, eight-semester are there in four years and for the post-graduation program, 4 semesters are there for two years. For post-graduation, the first year is mainly for theory and the second year mainly focuses on Research, experiments, and practical work. Students need to do both fieldwork and lab work. For Graduation students, the fourth or last year mainly focuses on industrial visits, fieldwork, and other different kind of experiments. Regularly campus placements are there from very renowned agriculture companies.

Placement Experience

Syngenta foundation, Nuziveed seeds, Adventz India, VNR seeds, Various jobs from ICRISAT used to come regularly. A special placement cell is there on the campus which helps in bringing new companies for placement drive. Special faculty members are there to prepare students for the placement drives.

College Events

All the major Indian festivals are celebrated along with the college annual function. Apart from this respective departments arrange their own departmental functions. Some renowned artists like famous singers and dancers used to come from various parts of India.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is very minimal compared to other universities in India. Both online and offline mode of payment is accepted. There will be no extra fees during admission. According to your rank in the entrance exam, you will get seats. But there are special reservation facilities available for SC/ST students and students from Nepal and Bhutan.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got a Scholarship from the Govt of India which is called the ICAR-Junior Research Fellowship. If you got a good rank in all India exams then govt of India will give you a Scholarship. Apart from this, all the research scholars can get University scholarships under the UGC scheme.

Campus Life

Male: Female ratio will be mostly around 60:40. There is no discrimination at all based on gender, caste, religion, ethnicity, or race. Everyone here treated as equal. There will be strict action against those who violate these rules. There is as many as 20 ground available for sports activities ranging from cricket, hockey, football, and other outdoor games as well as all indoor games. A swimming facility also available inside the campus. Debate essay writing and other extracurricular activities are conducted at regular intervals.

Hostel Facilities

Yes. I stayed in the hostel. One room is for 2 people for post-graduate students and doctorate students and three-person per room for under graduate students. The mess is available inside the hostel. Total four Mess are there. One Mess is especially for vegetarian students and the other three are for non-vegetarian students.

Alumni/Alumna

All the seniors are very supportive. They guide you throughout your course program by telling which areas are important in your course. They help you in your research work also. The future opportunities available in agriculture and regarding campus placements, all these things you can learn from them.

Admission

All India entrance exam conducted by ICAR( Indian Council of Agricultural Research). You have to get a good All India Rank to get admission to this University. All the Agriculture and allied subjects are available for the Master's degree program. Also one can get admission through the BHU entrance exam which is conducted by University itself.

Faculty

Total sixty credit hours were there during two years post-graduation course which comprises different kinds of subjects. Most of the faculty were renowned professors and scientists. They have immense knowledge regarding agriculture and they released many crop varieties in India and across the world. The average age of most of the professors will be 45.

there are mid terms conducted after 2 months of the semester registration, then final exams are conducted 2-2.5 months later after the mid-terms. So the course work is not very hectic here. You cand easily manage and balance you course and research work simultaneoulsy.

I choose my subject because I interested in it. The faculty and students ratio is 1:2. Exams are not very difficult for that student who did hard work and study but the exam should not be a very easy and simple level of the paper is medium to high. But not very easy to clear the exam.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our university is good. Varied companies of different backgrounds come for recruitment here. One company which I had gone for the interview was VNR Seeds for most of the assistant breeder. The company was good at giving a good package but the placement is still not being done as we didn't get the results due to lockdown in our country.
