The college can be treated as of moderate level.Core placement is very less.

As a part of B.Tech EE course subjects such as Circuit theory, power systems, control systems, fundamentals of programming etc are taught. There are separate lab sessions for various subjects. It imparts moderate understanding of electrical engineering that can be effectively applied in the industry. However the college lacks research facilities on a larger scale. Industrial visits are organised for students depending on their department. The main focus of college is to provide students placement in IT service based companies.

The placement is largely dependent upon mass hiring IT service companies. On an averge 70% students get placed. There is not much placement in core areas such as electrical, mechanical or civil.

The college celebrates annual tech fest annual cultural fest and departmental fest every year in the month of March- April. The tech fest is one of the largest in northern India. The technical fest provides opportunity for students of the college as well as the other college's students ability to showcase their talent in varoius fields of technology.

The average tuition fee for b.tech course is 50k per semester. Apart from this a fee of 30k needs to be paid at the time of admission. Exam fee is 1500 per semester. The college provides a detailed reciept of fee for each semester along with one at the time of taking admission. Some amoount also needs to be paid for cultural fest. It follows west bengal government regulation as far as the fee structure is concerned.

Availed the education loan facilty by the government of India from a nationalised bank. In order for loan to be sanctioned one need to provide educational details that is 10th,12th marksheet. The rank and allotment letter furnished by the counselling conducting body. Once the loan is sanctioned it can be credited to the college account per semester. Student needs to provide the bank with their semester result every semester.

Since the college is day scholar in nature one does not get much time to spend on campus as most of the time people are busy with classes. Gender ration is 60:40. The college provides with enough extracurricular actovities. It has a dedicated football field and a an on campus swimming pool. The technical fest organised by the college largely focus on robotics and other technology domains.

Hostel facility is not provided by the college itself. Though there hostels operated by private organisations near by. The PG facility is easily available in near by localies. Average monthly cost for PG with basic facilities with food is around Rs. 7000 per month.

The college organises alumni meet every year.There can be interaction with seniors during the alumni meet. They provide fruitful insight on how to poceed in career along with their valuable experience.

I got the admission through JEE main merit list in all India quota. There are two merit list used by the college for admission in UG courses. One is WBJee and other Jee Main. This instition has exceptionally good placement in top IT service companies if you belong to circuit branches. Steps for admission: 1.Appear in Wbjee or Jee main or both. 2. Secure an average rank. 3. Participate in online counselling conducted by Wbjee. 4.There are some percentage of seat for management quota also. Note: It is best to choose computer science. In CS the college has shown great placement over the years.

The faculties have moderate expertise in subjects. The teaching methodology adopted is again focussed on clearing semester exams. On an averge 30 -40 lectures each of 1 hour and 10-12 lab sessions each of 3 hours are held for each subject. The lectures are largely focussed on passing semester exams. The average qualifications for lecturers is M.tech in relevant area.
