Training and placement cell must focus a lot on providing internship opportunities with stipend which could potentially imbibe professionalism into the students during their 4 years academic period, this could also help students in determining the perfect role and perfect organization to choose for their betterment of career.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course and curriculum was designed meticulously and it provided all the basic aspects required to be a proficient engineer theoretically, however there was a lack of practical approach towards the course subjects which could trigger a enthusiastic effort among the students pursuing this course.
Placement Experience
Don't know much about IT, CS students, but for core disciplines they should have wide range of decent opportunities for internships, they could only arrange a single training programme for all the students, I had pursued internship opportunity at a PSU from my own. Enhancing this would better the placements prospects for the future.
College Events
All fests, events were conducted meticulously and grandly. They allotted decent funds to make sure all the process of onboarding artists and initiating locales for the events were kept held to the standard which they set on. This was also possible due to the aggressive participation of students who contributed for the positive outcomes of those events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Depends upon the economic background of the srudents, because not only students from the same state came to this college but also many students from the neighboring states like Jharkand, Bihar, Orissa and many local districts constituted the population of our batch 2015-19.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I did not avail any scholarship opportunities but I had a peer in the same course who did, the entire process for availing it was very seamless according to him.
Campus Life
Core disciplines lack gender diversity especially for my stream, but for others I would say its very much respected. But it may also be due to the fact about the likings of every individual, especially students hailing from cities like Durgapur, where Steel Manufacturing plants are located,which in turn inclined their initial likings towards core engineering disciplines.
Hostel Facilities
No, I personally did not avail the provision of Hostel accommodation as I resided close to the institution, but from what I heard the facility for female students was highly rated,but unfortunately cannot say the same for male students as it happens so often in our country.
Alumni/Alumna
They were initially. Even during fests and events they imparted their experiences for us to feel welcomed.
Admission
Close proximity to residence, decent reviews from locals, searched a lot through online blogs local magazines, talked with the existing students and made an educated guess for choosing this institute. Also the location of the institute was in itself was a USP and had a appeal since it was amongst the IT hub of Kolkata.
Faculty
As I mentioned above ther were very careful and always tried their best to imbibe punctuality, sincerity and professionalism among the students which was of course not mentioned in the course. So they made an extra effort to make sure all the students are vigilant during the course period. They all hailed from respected government colleges and their knowledge was a very good advocate for it.
