Remarks

College management is extremely helpful and available for the students 24/7.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Courses are based similar to Massachusetts institute of technology, same learning pattern is followed, hands on experience is provided for almost every theoretical part, practical learning is promoted rather than just theoretical cramming. Lectures are followed by tutorial sessions for practical learning.

Placement Experience

4.5

Average package of the college is around 11LPA which is at par with any IIT, Almost all tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Uber visit for placement drive on campus and a decent amount of students are hired by these companies, internships are provided by the college right after 2nd year and in 4th year. Almost 96% students are placed and seminars are held by college to guide students for placement.

College Events

5

There are almost every type of fest, literary, tech, sports and cultural. The cultural fest named Pearl is biggest in terms of footfall and level of artists visited. Almost everything is student driven, everything is organised by student unions formed along with clubs and departments, a certain fund is allotted by administration coupled with sponsorships brought by student departments.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee is around 18Lacs for the 4 year course, online payments with credit/debit card, rtgs, neft are accepted. Fee is on the expensive side since no government aid is provided, There are no additional cost to secure admission it is adjusted in the fee itself, 4 year fee breakdown is provided beforehand so thatbit can be arranged accordingly.

Fees and Financial Aid

The subsidised loan is provided by state bank of india for BITS students, also the students belonging to the family having 12lpa income is given scholarship based on his/her GPA and it can range up from 20-100% scholarship of the total academic fee.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus Life is peaceful and clean asbthe campus is located outside the city. The gender ratio is poor 1:9 still being better than every other engineering. Sports fests are held, Robotics club is ther son campus which go for competition across various events, MUN is on campus, Co curricular culture is very good and is also stressed upon by the administration. There is a club for almost anything one can do.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel are mandatory for BITS students, Double occupancy rooms are provided in first year and there after single rooms are provided, Hostel fee is minimal as compared to academic fee because of highly paid teachers, Hostels are enough to accomodate 3-4k students.

Alumni/Alumna

Facebook groups are there to connect with the alumini and seek their guidance, They are easily approachable and are extremely helpful.

Admission

Admission is through BITSAT exam, Bitsat score is given on spot after the exam since it is an online exam, then after a week or two allotment process starts and there are a total of 5-6 rounds of counselling based on the BITSAT score, Admission process is hassle free.

Faculty

5

Faculty is at par with any IIT across the country, all professors are PhD from a foreign University, all professors are knowledgeable and are available almost all day. All professors and instructors are masters in their field and lack of knowledge was never felt.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
