Remarks

College management is very good because they manage the institute very well.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is designed in such a way that students acquire whole knowledge of the latest technology. Exams are relevant. Through exams, we can see where we stand and can imagine how to prepare for placement interviews.

Class Size: 40

Placement Experience

2.5

The placements are good in CIT. Different MNCs came to our institute last year like Coco-cola, Itc, Amul, Oil refinery, BSNL, Powergrid.

College Events

A Technical festival and ecstasy as a cultural festival and different festival like pre bihu, pre Christmas, Saraswati puja, bathou utsav are celebrated in our institute at different times. At a cultural festival every year Bollywood singers are invited to our institute for a cultural night.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. For a technical course, this fee is okay, it's a centrally funded institute. The payment method of college is e-payment. Academic, cultural, traveling fees, are contributed to the total fee.

Campus Life

Campus life is very good. There is the best quality lab in our institute, there is a playground where cricket, football, badminton, basketball are played. Robotics is an example of innovation that helps students with practical concepts.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good. Rooms are good, water facility, electric facility and internet facility are also very good. The environment and locality are good so I chose this college. Hostels are also nice. Meals are also good.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per yearExternal Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful. From them, we can learn interview skills. They also help with internships in MNCs. They teach us how to develop personal skills for professional life.

Admission

Through the entrance exam JEE Mains I got admission to this college. The environment and locality are good so I chose this college. Hostels are also nice. My admission date is 4th July 2017. All labs are fine. Cit has a digital library where approx 20000 ebooks are available.

A chapter of growth, my college life

Likes

Since I am in civil dept so the civil dept is the most well maintained and beautiful dept of my college. The faculty members are more or less friendly and good.
Teachers are good and friendly. Specially in civil the seniors are also good and friendly.
In civil dept there are many events which take place as compared to other dept .

Dislikes

Only boys hostel is there but no girls hostel.
In civil dept the placement opportunities are not upto the mark but in other dept specially chemical placement is good even in mechanical too.
Campus can be made more beautiful although work is going on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

See I had the passion for civil since my 10th std. I am really happy about my course . Because there are many job opportunities in govt sector in Assam. I like the teachers of my dept but some are not that friendly . Maybe it depends upon their mood sometimes I don't know really . The civil course is practical it's enjoyable. I would have liked it more if it would had more placement opportunities on campus . Otherwise it's fine

The management cell of the college is also do grat jobs. But the main problem I have found is placement. According to the other colleges the placement of this college is not so good. If the college can give more placement then it will become a great college. Overall its a great college full of knowledge.

Kalyani Siddha's Review On Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar, Kokrajhar

The whole admission process in CITK seemed like my destiny. And of course, I wanted to come here. I had other options but somehow I wished I was here. It was my calling, I guess. And for the thing that I like most about this college is the library. I really love the carpeted floor and the wooden bookshelves. The interior is very captivating, with brown walls and books all around. The place is surprisingly peaceful. Though during exams it gets crowded, other than that it's the best place to visit. The only thing that our library lacks is the literature section. I mean there are plenty of books on literature but not the actual literature. You can count the number of novels in one hand. Opting for civil engineering is something my parents did for me. As we say elders know better, so they suggested that a bright future awaits for me through the doorway of the Civil Engineering Branch. And I gladly followed their advice and I regret nothing, not yet. But I had in my mind to opt for Food Engineering and Technology, but elders know better....Read More
