Entrance Preview

I went through XAT & MAT. Scored only 67 Percentile in XAT but My MAT Score was good. I scored 97 Percentile in MAT. Actually I didn't option for this college first. I applied at BALAJI Institution, Alliance College & Christ College. I got a Interview Call from Christ College, Bangalore. I came down Bangalore for the inventive and disqualified.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum in MBA is uniform for all in 1st Year. But in 2nd year you have to choose one major subject like I have chosen "IT". And Marketing is compulsory for all. One of the best part of the curriculum is "THE MANAGEMENT SKILL by Prof.Chandra Kant.

Internships Opportunities

In IBA, you have to go for 2 months internship program. I got the Internship by Placement Agency of IBA only. And the general stipends depends on your performance ranges between Rs.4500 to Rs.23000. Unfortunately I got only Rs.11000 stipend during my Internship.

Placement Experience

Every MBA College says that they gives 100% Placement. But that is not true. But If you compare to other colleges in Bangalore, IBA is far ahead. In our batch, we were 240 strength and 211 are got placed till I left the college. And as per my knowledge, the IBA Placement Unit still keeps focus on unplaced student to get placed after leaving college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is little higher side as compared to other B-School But if after getting passed out after 2 years, the SPEND feels like not EXPENSIVE.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have availed the LOAN FACILITY sanctioned by SBI. And it is easy to get the same by the help of IBA Management. And there is scholarship facility available for good scored student and poor people.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. Very strong network. We are connected with Alumni by our Alumni Society. Every year there is one ALUMNI MEET happens at our Campus. I have already attended trice after getting passed out in last 5 years.

Exam Structure

The examination pattern is like IIM. We had been through 3 semesters in a Year means total 6 semesters. All the semester are compromising of Internal and External Tests. An equal weight-age is given to internal and external exams.

Faculty

The faculty is very strong and subject oriented. They are good in terms of teaching, classes are interactive in nature and are a healthy mix of case studies, presentations.

At IIBS, we become eligible for placements from *4th trimester*. Training starts from 1st trimester itself Companies like Deloitte, Accenture, Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Federal Bank, KPMG visit. 250+ companies made 1800+ offers last year. Profiles are Business Analyst, Marketing, HR, Finance Analyst. Around 90-95% students get placed.

ISME: THIS IS ME !!

Course Curriculum Overview:

For jobs, it prepares you very well. You work through real case studies, Harvard business simulations, and a 4-to-6-month corporate internship, so you aren't completely clueless on day one at an office. If your goal is a PhD or pure research, though, it leans a bit too practical and corporate rather than deeply academic.

Life at ISME

Likes

I liked the faculty members as they are very approachable
Mentorship programs, international certifications
The diversity of students in our batch. Students came from all the parts of India.

Dislikes

College is very far from the main city and the airport as well.

Curriculum is very student friendly. We have guest lectures from various industry experts, subject matter experts etc. Our course is more practical based and industry focused. We also have regular exams for continuous monitoring.

Great Learning Experience

Likes

The batch size is small and competitive.
The International Immersion Program at Singapore
Industry Trajectory Program, which includes paid internship opportunities for 6 months months at top companies like Grant Thornton and ITC

Dislikes

The campus is far away from the main city
The 80% attendance in college is mandatory

Placement Experience:

We sit for final placements from our second year whereas other internship opportunities starts from the very beginning, like in our first year we had companies like EY and Deloitte for our Summer Internship Placement (SIP)

ISME PGDM REVIEW

Likes

Facility is very qualified. Faculties from IIM are also there. They are very friendly. They gives us extra support and mentorship after class also
College infrastructure is also good. Full of greenery amd calm environment and location is aldo good.
Placement is also good. And ROI is also good as per the fees.

Dislikes

The schedule is very hectic. And hostel timing is also short for returning.

Placement Experience:

Placements are also there 240+ recruiters come for campus placements. Average package is 8 to 9 lakhs and highest package is 17 lakh. We have Industry trajectory programme with big 4 like Kpmg GT etc

Likes

We have good faculties, who are very friendly and approachable
Study matarial is also very helpful, we are getting enough information and learnings we want
Corporate exposure of this college is amazing...we are getting good internships related to our feild

Placement Experience:

240 recruiters come to this college....we have industry trajectory program, placement oriented term, mock interviews, workshops. We have average package of 8pla and highest package is 17 lpa. We have career opportunities cell which prepare you for summer internships and final placement. In ITP students get stipend between 25 to 40k.

I applied for Indus Business Academy for the PGDM program and I choose this college because they offer good internship opportunities, as well as 100% placements and The companies like PWC, KPMG, Deloitte and they, offer good package. For admission the college accepts all types of entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT and the minimum cutoff is 50 percentile. If the student is qualified then the telephonic round is conducted by the college. In this round, the basic questions were asked related to personal details and academics. This round is conducted for testing the communication skills of the student. After that second round is conducted over skype, It is a technical round in this question related to the subject is asked and the knowledge of the student was tested.
