Course Curriculum Overview

5

Mahatma Gandhi University offers the B.A. LL.B, LLB, B.Sc., BCA, BBA, B.A., BMLT, BPP, B.Com, BRIT and BPT courses at the UG level. The B.A. course is offered in 6 specialisations and the B.Sc. course is offered in 3 specializations. The exam structure is also well followed. The final exam is conducted at the end of every semester. The results of this exam are very important to all the students. Monthly model exams are also conducted to help the students to easily undergo their final semester exam

Placement Experience

4.5

The college do provide the students with placements & job opportunities. This helps the student to have a bright future once they leave the University. Students seeking to have a good career in their field of interest are greatly benefited through this. Individuals can work as attorney generals, judges, public prosecutors, etc. studying BA. LLB at MGU equips with the knowledge and skills one needs in an increasingly competitive legal market. Placement counselling is provided. Good opportunities for my future thanks for my University. Every year so many placements drive contacting my University, skill development programs, and internship companies approaching processing methods

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure in MAHATMA GANDHI UNIVERSITY - [MGU] is very feasible. The fee for the BCA programme is 20,000 per semester but the admission fees, exam fees, and cultural& sports fees are charged separately. Compared to other universities I found the fee for the programme affordable.

Campus Life

4

The college offers many extracurricular activities like football, basketball, band group and many more. Department has been conducting University Campus sports activities, Inter Collegiate tournaments and Inter University Sports competitions every year. Some of the major events are the freshmen social which are an exciting introduction to the MGU culture for first-year students. Interdepartmental cultural events that involve dance, singing, and other such events students can get involved in. It is generally held in August.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network here in this university is very much active as compared to other universities and colleges. Senior students are helpful in many needs by the first year students and their juniors. So this alumni network is very much helpful. The alumni people have an alumni meet every year to discuss on the needs and growth of the college.

Admission

Admission to the UG, PG, Diploma and doctoral courses at MGU will be done on the basis of scores obtained in the MGU-GET and based on performance in a personal interview. Candidates can apply to all the courses at Mahatma Gandhi University either online, through the official website of the University or through the offline mode.Candidates who have completed graduation from a relevant stream are eligible to apply for the PG courses at MGU. Faculty

4

The university maintains a well ordered faculty system .The faculty is very supportive and appreciative of our learning efforts. The faculties of the course are very knowledgeable in their subjects and try to help us learn and understand the course better. Guest lectures and video lectures are always an ad-on help in the learning process

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
