Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is a mix of theoretical and practical course subjects distributed over a span of four years which is the duration of a B.Tech. course. The final outcome of the course aims at developing every student enrolled in the course into successful professionals their respective fields.

Placement Experience

Jeppiaar Institute of Technology provides excellent opportunities for getting placed and landing a job. According to official statistics, a total of 168 companies visited in the academic year 2019-20.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure at Jeppiaar Institute is feasible according to what I feel. Moreover, an excellent feature of JIT is that it provides scholarships on various grounds in order to encourage education to all students of all economic class.

Campus Life

JIT believes that sports is an important factor for the all round development of an individual. Therefore it encourages both indoor and outdoor sports. International level court facility is available for basketball, volleyball and badminton.

Admission

The admission to the B.Tech. programme at JIT is based on merit. As it was my childhood dream to pursue Mechanical Engineering because of my fondness to machinery, I applied at JIT and got admission easily as my academic results were good.

The faculty at Jeppiaar Institute of Technology is highly qualified and I have never seen any faculty in my life till now who had a greater interest in teaching their students - something about which all of us are very proud and satisfied.

In vlb Janakiammal college of arts and science kovaipudhur coimbatore ,i dont know much about the placements but there are so much placements for everyone the placement success rate is almost 98 persent

THE REALITY

Likes

They allow all cultural events.They also conduct events in the college

Dislikes

They increase penalty if students dont pay the sem fees on time then they also increase the exam fees from sem to sem

My aim is to go cinema field.So,only I choose visual communication.After choosing visual communication only i can understood the real world is so different I can't get it anything easy I want to work hard to get the position I want to be.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Life in HIMT

Likes

With regards to training and placements the college is very good . All training as per DGMA and IMU is strictly followed and the placements for B.Sc is 90% and above . The faculties and instructors in the college are well experienced and skilled.
The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.
Classrooms are air conditioned. Hostel rooms are good . Any defects in rooms or any places inside college which are addressed are rectified.

Dislikes

College doesn't conduct inter college events . Internal events are very less . The few events conducted in college has also many restrictions.
Galley food can be better . College canteen is not good

Placement Experience:

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

Likes

Infrastructure, Good Faculty, teaching, class are well equiped

NTG to say as far as now everything is good
Overall college has good facilities nothing to complain
Maybe one thing is to improve food quality in mess

I like the MBA to learn about the marketing domain and gather the proper information. And I planned to do the course in the KVIM and they used the digital methods to the course and the give the proper content to succeed the course

My great experience in HIMT

Likes

all staffs are we experienced in their field and good in explaining, very friendly
hostel is well maintained and college is always clean
everything works in college based upon the review system. so any issues will resolve quickly

Placement Experience:

HIMT has good placements rates to all the batches, espically for GME they are doing well good. many gets placements in first semester itself. many big gaint companies in marine industry are approching to HIMT for placements.

Likes

Exams can be usually easy as this is a five year integrated course
Some faculties are friendly as they themselves are fresh graduates

Dislikes

But most faculties come off very rude and disrespectful
The office people are not at all approachable
The student login has so many glitches which cause delays in downloading of hallticket

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is one end semester exam and 2 CIAs in one year.Endsem is for 100m and CIAs are 40marks each . There is one assignment for each CIA for 10m each. So totally both the CIA together is 100 marks. Then the average of CIA and end semester is calculated if 40 or above it's pass otherwise you have to reappear. The subjects are not at relevant as computer science keeps changing regularly.

Admission:

I got admission in this college via counselling. I had PCB in 10+2 and gave NEET which a national entrance test exam to get admission into medical courses. The scores obtained in entrance exam matters a lot in deciding the merit.

The Real Review of Jeppiaar institute of technology

I have applied many colleges like SRM, Sathyabama, Saveetha engineering College Autonomous, Panimalar, etc.. but jeppiaar institute of technology was the only college doesn't ask any donation and make this affordable. Mainly I wrote entrance exam at VIT Chennai but unfortunately I didn't get selected for this course. So I went through JIT. They process of selecting students in JIT was easy. First they registered and blocked a seat for myself and they analysed my marks and myself. My cut off is 8.97 I got a seat via councelling. Seat will be available in manage quato. No entrance exam. After you got your allotment order from councelling take a print of that order go to college they will provide the application form fill that add attach your mark sheet and required documents with that and you may proceed to pay your fees .
