Course Curriculum Overview

MBBS is very busy. There are nine semesters. Thus, after the practical examinations, we must answer the nine-semester exams that have subjective structure. Part I and II of the MBBS Part I and II. The second MBBS will be a year and a half.

Placement Experience

There is a mandatory internship for one year after completing MBBS (all medical colleges), which enroll students in variable periods in all disciplines. The stipend as an intern is Rs 20,000 per month.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Possible. Each student must pay 40,000 semester. The OBC, SC, SC, and other backward castes are half the fees paid by ordinary people. As PG students, doctors get a stipend. The college provide good facility in this amount.

Campus Life

Since the college is under the jurisdiction of the University of Goa, the University of Goa hosts several university sports programs for all colleges within its jurisdiction. There are football, basketball, cricket, swimming, table tennis and badminton

Admission

After the 12th board exam, I answered the Medical Entrance Test, Meet Exam. Goa got the best score and the 13th rank. Admission was awarded on the basis of merit. She entered the first round. The percentage of 12th boards is not calculated but must be at least 50% to qualify

Faculty

Very nice. Each issue is basically a department comprising physicians who educate and treat patients in the hospital. In clinics, teachers teach students the same way they treat patients. They always support and motivate us to do better in academics.

Reasons to not Join this College: By a ex-student

Likes

The surroundings is quite mesmerizing...

Dislikes

The faculties are rude and extremely toxic.
The faculties don't have clear understandings of the syllabus.. the lack of alignment with prescribed syllabus leads to high failure rate with nearly 60% of students failing in each semester
Quite often the semester examination papers include topics that were not covered by the teachers in class. in My class 23/75 students got block(year back). Which must be highest rate of failures across entire India

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is the same across all the 5 colleges It's too outdated to be studied Not relevant for modern-day job markets Students often have to study different materials to crack a job. Youtibe is best solution to clear the concepts

Likes

The faculty members are genuinely approachable, which makes it much easier to seek guidance beyond the standard syllabus
Located in the heart of Mapusa, the college’s central position makes daily commuting very convenient
Campus events like "Caculo’s Got Talent" , "Synergy" "IT Maestro " and "phoenix"offer a great, fun break from the academic routine.

Dislikes

The single-building campus structure can feel a bit restrictive for those expecting a more traditional, expansive campus atmosphere.
Due to the affiliation with Goa University, the curriculum can sometimes feel slightly dated and less aligned with rapidly changing industry trends.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell here is honestly one of the best parts of the experience—they’re super proactive, always keeping us on our toes with mock interviews and workshops that actually feel useful. We get into the placement groove in our final year, and it’s pretty cool to see the results. We’ve seen packages hit as high as ₹7.5 LPA, with an average around ₹3.8 LPA, which is a solid start in this industry. It’s great to see a variety of companies coming in, from tech-focused ones like RightScope, Transerve Technology, Letsapp, MinksPay, and Webnook to major recruiters like Bajaj Allianz, IDBI Bank, and Bharti AXA Life Insurance. A good number of my batchmates have already landed roles through these drives. As for me, I’m planning to take all the practical, hands-on skills I’ve picked up from my internships and extra tech courses and dive straight into the IT sector. Between that and the doors opened by the college’s MoU with the Goa Technology Association (GTA), I feel like I’ve got a real head start in the professional world.

zero % attendance policy and freindly seniors and no ragging and vibrant culture

less campus area and sports timings are limited

Placement Experience:

Placements are good like averages of chemical is 12 lpa and there is good placement percentage ratio like 75 percent and if in case of no placements further study is possible option as bits have connection to many best institues in the world.

Likes

First of all it was government college..
The college has a huge campus and a good infrastructure
College background is also good enoughh.

Dislikes

Surroundings area is not clean enough and not maintained
It is a long distance to cover everyday.
Don't have a proper ground to play around

Course Curriculum Overview:

I myself wanted to bebin this course as it has bright scope. It is very attractive in real world. the area needed to be cleaned and well maintained and hygiened as well. And the class timing are not good enough . They keep classes as they want.

An Overview Bits-Goa

Likes

Chill college with a very beautiful campus and the junior senior interaction is also good here.
Campus life is filled with fun and academics , its a blend of both in perfect proportions
Infrastructure here is so good and massive

Dislikes

There is no swimming pool also its raining always
There is no mcn for bits rmit students..

The first college I had applied for is Armed forces medical College(AFMC) but I was declared physically unfit there after that as of my rank I look up upon various parameters of the colleges and finally applied for it. I choose this college over other colleges beacause its year of establishment is 1852, but i found that year of establishment doesn't matter in MBBS as much we think. Admission process is too easy. Bachelor of optometry in Goa medical college

I wanted to try for armed forced medical college as I wanted to serve the army along with the medicine and other requirements but was not possible as I couldn't score much in neet and I had to settle for whatever I was getting and I was happy with it. Goa medical college, oldest in Asia

I picked GMC over other colleges as it has a high patient load, good OPDs and excellent facilities. In vitro fertilisation is done for free and it's the oldest medical college in Asia.
