PDEU, Civil

Reviewed on Dec 5, 2015

Entrance Preview

AIEEE at our time the admissions were based on AIEEE and I got 148. I had option for electrical but I have family background in civil so I opted for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

It covers subject like surveying, structure analysis , fluid mechanics, design of structure, Geotech, numerical techniques, costing and valuation ,earthquake, psychology , construction equipment.

Internships Opportunities

Well I went to summer immersion program offered by PDPU. Where we went to University of Saskatchewan Canada it was 30 days program. We weren't offered any stipend but college helped us financially for this trip by providing 50 percent of the cost of stay, travelling and food. It was the great experience there.

Placement Experience

3.5

Many companies visit pdpu as placement are yet to be started so we aren't sure which company will visit but future's first visited and offered around 6 lac Infosys also visited and offered 2.8 lacs.

College Events

4.5

We have flare every year in month of march which is cult fest artist like Vishal shekhar, shaan performed in the event. We also have tessaract every year in month of October and artist like anish sood and DJ shaan performed in the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our Tuition fees is 50000 per semester but it increased to 1000000 per semester for new entry so it is quite expensiveHostel fees is 50000 per year .And mess fees is around 20000 per semester .

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers presidential scholarship to the student who are toppers in state board or aieee. For BPL or near BPL they offer loan at cheap rates .

Campus Life

We have 3 girls among 43 boys which is quite low but it is high for next batches. Lab facilities are good equipped with no. Of machine.

Alumni/Alumna

We don't have alumni as only 2 batches have passed but our experience with senior was great and we are still in touch with them. They got placed in large MNC as well as other companies around ahmedabad.

Exam Structure

We have 2 exams per semester and 1 lab exam at end of semester. They are little bit hectic as we don't have time to study because no preparation leave is provided.

Faculty

The faculty are great having experience in field and few are doctorate. There are some who are pursuing doctorate. In other fields like mechanical and petroleum many faculties are doctorate. The faculties are available for entire day and can be approached easily. There are many faculties who requires student for project hence providing good opportunity to student to take part in the college.

The parul university review

Likes

The campus view is awesome we all will see new things everytime and it feels fresh at the morning.
The personal development of particular students have been in focus of every faculty which is awesome.
The behaviour towards students of every professor is the best all are understanding and calm towards students.

Dislikes

There is a system of gate pass means whenever u need to go out of main gate with the permission we are not allowed to go.
In hostel the washrooms are not so clean for the students with common washroom hostel
The mess food are boring sometimes and the food of the food seems to be same everytime

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I have a great interest in coding and this field is based on coding so i choosed the computer field. -The curriculum of the college are based on the things which will help us in future for real world application. -The way they i based on pdf means they make a full note of a subject in pdf and explain that and which makes clear to us so I don't think they should change. -There is a enough time to study for exams it depends on us how me manage it and the difficulty level is medium it is based on what we have understood till now in studies we have studied.

Likes

The collage infrastructure is really good and vibrant, it is well developed.
Campus life is really good, there are food courts, playground, libraries avaliable.
The whole campus has wifi avaliable, they've got atm too.

Dislikes

there are quite a few restrictions like no roaming allowed after 9:30pm.
mess food is not so good, its managable but sometimes it feels miserable
for every small thing to be done, lots of paperwork is required whether you need to go outside the campus or needs a NOC

Placement Experience:

in my unversity, proper placements usually start from 7th sem, however after 4th sem, the collage provides the opputunity to go for impact traning if youve got more than 60% in your 10th, 12th and throughtout the semesters from that traning top permorning student get a chance to sit for product-based companies. as of now (jan 2026), the highest placement recorded is 60lpa at microsoft, the average is aroudn 3.5 lps to 6 lpa, most of the recruiting companies are service based such as capgemini, infosys, tcs etc. around 200-250 students gets palce after heavy filtering, i plan to go for higher studies,

PDEU , a Sweet n' Sour experience

The other college that I planned on getting into was Nirma University but I couldn't meet the cutoff and hence I had to make do with PDEU. So this was actually my second option. The admission process of the university is JEE and GUJCET. So you can give either of these exams and then the counselling process is done through ACPC. Generally THE GUJCET cutoff is easier to meet. The overall admission process is pretty smooth and hassle free as you would expect from a university which charges you 2 and a half lakhs per annum...Read More

LIfe and Learning at PDEU

I was from a normal background and wanted to build my carrer in a high-fly way which can help me to explore and learn more new things and can relate to the ongoing industry leve so i chose PDEU because it offers a large campus, good placements and modern labs and faculty in learning. i faced many rejection from different colleges may be by some ranking issues or some percentage or JEE exam score. It was just competition and limited seats. Eligiblity at PDEU requires 10+2 PCM subjects and admission are based on JEE score, Gujcet score or may be on the cuttoffs that rarely vary. Admission process at our college is very simple just byb filling the form at the website/portal and pay the fee and then the process helds offline and provide you the offer letter....Read More
