Course Curriculum Overview

The structure of course was quite good as there were many practical subjects and numerous topics that were only taught with practical training in the lab. Exam structure was different here as there was a small test that counted for the final result and the practicals performed in the lab also and the university took mid-term exams along with the yearly exams.

Placement Experience

3.5

At my health science university, there were many appropriate chances to get a job of a relevant field in a recognized institute. However, the starting salary was moderate but it increases with the experience and the working student will do. Yes, the university had offered several chances of internship, and to do an internship of six months was mandatory.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee was the same for all three years of this master program which was 1.25 lakhs every year. As per my perspective, I felt the structure moderate as it was quite on average and mostly every student felt the same.

Campus Life

The activities are in numbers and all the students wanted to get some time as the course was very long so everyone played games like badminton, campus games, volleyball. There was quite a unity as the gender ratio was almost equal and students from different regions took admissions here so there was much diversity observed in terms of festival celebration.

Admission

I applied here after my Bachelors in Dental Surgery as it was the priority for the admission for the master of dental surgery. The second admission criteria were the NEET-MDS exam which was also mandatory as the admission evaluation process was based on it. I applied through the offline platform that is at the college campus and the counseling was also there only.

Faculty

4

All the faculty were completely relevant to our core field and courses and they all have done specialized courses in their field of interest, therefore they taught with compete for excellency. We got to know all the professional aspects and a way to decide the field to do further studies by the faculty only.

We were offered placement assistance as it was an online program and i really think it is a good initiative because college are least bothered for placements for their online programs. As i had to pursue a career in marketing i started doing projects and internships in marketing and sales domain.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.
