Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is a mix of extensive lab work and the theory which also requires submission of two projects in the final year and a summer training report. The entire academics guide the students to be more analytical and logical.

Placement Experience

There is a career counselling cell in the college that prepares the students for the interview. Also, there are companies like EDX, Amazon, Wipro, Mahindra visited last year offering an average package of 3 lacs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is so affordable as compared to many other engineering college and is about 20,000 per semester which means the entire graduation gets completed in less that 2 lacs and the package offered by the companies are way higher than this.

Campus Life

There is a big auditorium in which Workshops and annual day is organized which is well spacious and fully air-conditioned. The library is well stocked and has so many books. The annual cultural fest of the college is also quite lit.

Admission

The admission to this college could be so simple and is on the basis of marks obtained in class 12. I filled the application form and I was shortlisted by the Anna University as the college is affiliated to it and told them the code of the college which is 8128 and got the admission.

Faculty

The faculty is by far so good, they have an excellent academics with so many years into teaching. They help us imbibe some of the critical points and are really friendly and supportive. They also provide us examples from their experience.

In vlb Janakiammal college of arts and science kovaipudhur coimbatore ,i dont know much about the placements but there are so much placements for everyone the placement success rate is almost 98 persent

Likes

They allow all cultural events.They also conduct events in the college

Dislikes

They increase penalty if students dont pay the sem fees on time then they also increase the exam fees from sem to sem

My aim is to go cinema field.So,only I choose visual communication.After choosing visual communication only i can understood the real world is so different I can't get it anything easy I want to work hard to get the position I want to be.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Life in HIMT

Likes

With regards to training and placements the college is very good . All training as per DGMA and IMU is strictly followed and the placements for B.Sc is 90% and above . The faculties and instructors in the college are well experienced and skilled.
The college is strict regarding alcohol and smoking and it is not allowed inside campus and regular alcohol checks are conducted . Discipline and safety is the first priority for the college.
Classrooms are air conditioned. Hostel rooms are good . Any defects in rooms or any places inside college which are addressed are rectified.

Dislikes

College doesn't conduct inter college events . Internal events are very less . The few events conducted in college has also many restrictions.
Galley food can be better . College canteen is not good

Placement Experience:

The placements for B.Sc Nautical science in HIMT is 90% and above . The placement drive usually starts in the 2nd year (4th semester) and for girls 1st year (2nd semester). The companies which usually come for placements in my college are MOLMI,MOLTA, ZODIAC,SANMAR,GENCO, ONESEA etc ... The package for cadets differ from company to company and type of vessel.

I like the MBA to learn about the marketing domain and gather the proper information. And I planned to do the course in the KVIM and they used the digital methods to the course and the give the proper content to succeed the course

My great experience in HIMT

all staffs are we experienced in their field and good in explaining, very friendly
hostel is well maintained and college is always clean
everything works in college based upon the review system. so any issues will resolve quickly

Placement Experience:

HIMT has good placements rates to all the batches, espically for GME they are doing well good. many gets placements in first semester itself. many big gaint companies in marine industry are approching to HIMT for placements.

Exams can be usually easy as this is a five year integrated course
Some faculties are friendly as they themselves are fresh graduates

Dislikes

But most faculties come off very rude and disrespectful
The office people are not at all approachable
The student login has so many glitches which cause delays in downloading of hallticket

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is one end semester exam and 2 CIAs in one year.Endsem is for 100m and CIAs are 40marks each . There is one assignment for each CIA for 10m each. So totally both the CIA together is 100 marks. Then the average of CIA and end semester is calculated if 40 or above it's pass otherwise you have to reappear. The subjects are not at relevant as computer science keeps changing regularly.

Admission:

I got admission in this college via counselling. I had PCB in 10+2 and gave NEET which a national entrance test exam to get admission into medical courses. The scores obtained in entrance exam matters a lot in deciding the merit.
