GSBM Chennai Admission Dates 2027

Admissions for the GSBM MBA 2027-29 batch are now open. Selection runs on a rolling basis, so early applicants may get earlier interview slots. The table below lists the key dates announced for the 2027-29 cycle:

GSBM accepts several national and state-level entrance exams for the MBA. Candidates without a valid score can sit for the GSBM Admission Test instead.

GSBM Chennai Courses and Fees

GSBM Chennai offers a single program, the 2-year full-time MBA, awarded by VMRF-DU. The total tuition fee is INR 6.50 Lakhs, and all fees must be paid before the 4th semester begins. Check GSBM Fees below:

GSBM Chennai Admission Process

GSBM Chennai admits MBA students through an entrance score or its own admission test, followed by a personal interview. The final decision weighs entrance score, academic record, interview performance and work experience where applicable.

GSBM MBA Eligibility

• A bachelor's degree of at least 3 years (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) from a recognised university
• Minimum 50% aggregate marks, or 45% for government-notified reserved categories
• Graduates from any discipline are eligible
• Final-year students can apply provisionally
• Work experience is not mandatory, but it earns additional weightage
• There is no upper age limit

GSBM MBA Selection Process

• Step 1: Apply online at the official website or in person at the admission office.
• Step 2: Submit a valid TANCET, CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA or GMAT score, or take the GSBM Admission Test.
• Step 3: Attend a personal interview. A group discussion or written ability test may also be scheduled.
• Step 4: Receive the offer letter and pay the admission fee within the stated period.
• Step 5: Complete document verification and enrolment before classes begin.

Candidates who cannot travel to Chennai can request an online interview. Required documents include Class 10, Class 12 and UG mark sheets, the entrance scorecard, ID proof and two passport photographs.

GSBM Admission Test

The GSBM Admission Test is meant for candidates without a national or state test score. It can be taken on the GSBM portal or in person on campus.

• Duration: 120 minutes
• Format: multiple-choice questions
• Sections: quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, logical reasoning and general business awareness

GSBM does not publish a fixed cutoff. Admission is merit-based, and higher entrance percentiles also unlock larger scholarships.

GSBM Chennai Scholarships

GSBM Chennai offers the Dr. A. S. Ganesan Merit Scholarship worth up to INR 2 Lakhs. It runs on two tracks, academic merit and competitive exam performance, and applies only to the tuition fee.

Track B covers CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, TANCET and the GSBM Entrance Examination. The maximum award stays at INR 2 Lakhs even if a student qualifies under both tracks.

Need-based support may be considered for students from economically weaker backgrounds. Eligible students can also apply for Government of India and Tamil Nadu post-matric scholarships through the National Scholarship Portal or the state portal.

GSBM Chennai Campus and Infrastructure

The GSBM campus is located at Vinayaka Nagar on OMR, Chennai's IT corridor. Its corporate office is in Kilpauk, Chennai 600 010.

Academic and student facilities on campus include the following.

• Sports ground and basketball court

Women's hostel accommodation is available on campus. Men's accommodation is arranged nearby, and both come with mess facilities and wardens. College transport also covers selected Chennai routes.

The Ganesan Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre supports student start-ups with co-founder pairing, funding access, training and incubation. It works with the Institution's Innovation Council, EDII Tamil Nadu and MSME.
