Remarks

I am pursuing B.tech from this institute. Since the college is located at a distance from the humdrum of city life we get to experience a serene ambience for gaining quality education here which feels great. Additionally, the management works great thus availing the medical facilities nearby.I love attending my college

Course Curriculum Overview

My B.tech program is filled with an interesting curriculum where there are mandatory workshops arranged for us to attend and there is industrial training as well. I have to appear for the exams after I complete each sem and results come out after 2 months. However, if someone fails in a particular subject they get to reappear for the same

Placement Experience

The placement facility is good. The placement wing works fine and dedicatedly to secure us a good job. Additionally, Tech Mahindra along with Infosys are the two prominent companies that come for conducting the placement services. It is good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I paid around 48000 in my first sem however from the second sem the fee structure switched to 42000 and will continue for the rest of the sem. The grand total is around 3.5 lakh which I feel is feasible compare to the other colleges around.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, there is an education loan facility that my college offers to its students. However, I did not avail one for the same. Additionally, there is no scholarship opportunity, however, If one gets admission via counselling then they receive around 7500/- as scholarship amount by the end of their 4th sem

Campus Life

My college organizes small events such as annual day, sports days, then there are freshers days. This small yet exciting fun-filled occasions made us have great time inside the campus and brought subtle change in the whole technical atmosphere

Admission

I appeared for the JEE which is a mandatory criterion to apply for the institute. I ranked 51 which was pretty amazing. Some of the prominent reasons were the faculty, infrastructure and placement facility that made be target the college. And thus I got it, I am enjoying a great time here.

Faculty

My faculties are great. They make us stay focused and interested throughout the whole class. Additionally, their cooperative nature lends a hand in our cultural activities thus making it more fun and interesting. I feel nice while attending my lectures

A perfect college to take admission for a good future

Likes

Interactions with lecturers from internation universities like- harvard and university of scotland
The mentors and faculties were supportive
They used to conduct placement assistance aswell.

Placement Experience:

We were offered placement assistance as it was an online program and i really think it is a good initiative because college are least bothered for placements for their online programs. As i had to pursue a career in marketing i started doing projects and internships in marketing and sales domain.

Attendence i perdonally didn't like, but it is mandatory
little bit parking issue inside the campus
overall college is good, you can go for it but not for placements

Placement Experience:

Rest everything is good with college, only i have issue with placement, since there are very poor or only core sales job in punjab, college is able to provide that only. You have to work your ass off if you want to get good placement, provided their education quality is good

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Dislikes

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

I like my couse btech with computer science because it has high change to geeting high paying jobs and to build a successful career with my opinion they can improve their faculty with higher education qualification

I appreciate the well maintained campus and infrastructure the cleaniness in the collage is good
My engagement with collage is good I join various types of activity in the collage

Dislikes

There is no ac in the class and the class windows are not that good
But there is one problem which is that there is no many options for girls in games like sports

Placement Experience:

Currently my course at cgc landran does not have any types of placement in my course but however the collage focuses on enhancing development of students employability by providing interships , skills development and workshops to enhance there knowledge

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Teachers have a lot of knowledge and are very supportive.
Busy opd , hence enough number of patients for practical studies.
Reaserch is very much promoted and supported.

Dislikes

There is no proper sports complex yet .
There is no gym in campus , for gym we have to go out of the campus.
There is no college fest of our college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since we all know MBBS is course for being a doctor . As being doctor was a dream of mine i chosed this course.MBBS course is quite hectic but this is required since after completion of course we will become doctors and patients like will be in our hands. Frequency and timing of exams is already discussed in previous question.

Faculty : The faculty of Gian sagar as per experienced in 1st year of Mbbs is very caring and very talented. They take as many tests they can and make the student learn.
Learning facility : The teachers make digital slides.
Personal skill development : Every student is personally approached.

Too much syllabus : The mbbs course has a lot of syllabus to cover

The MBBS course is a very vast course . Syllabus is too much to handle . The curriculum prepares us for the practical approach like Anatomy , we have Dhall for cadaver dissection and osteology . We can see real life radiography.

The college provides many police administration long term and short term courses and two professional courses namely, M.A and M.Phil.
